10.1.0.1 lo

Module 1

- The interface addresses for inter node

forwarding are needed for each CFPU and
EIPU.
- The gateway addresses are configured for
each User plane and Iub control plane recovery
groups based on which the active RU of the RG
can be reached from any other node not
running the given RG.

Router-1

- Static route is configured in each EIPU in

BCN1&2 pointing to the redundant EIPU
internal address

10.0.0.5/30

- Internal network interface and gateway

addresses are configured at mcRNC
commissioning phase. The related redundantcy
solution static route entries should appear in
the system automatically.

- Primary static route is configured towards the

Router connected to the EIPU.
- The secondary static route is configured with
lower preference via the other EIPU within the
same BCN module.

mcRNC Interface
mcRNC has a variety of interface. We should know them, will
help us to undersatnd the configuration.
1.Physical interace
Eg:sfp7~~~~sfp16

For internal use only

4
Nokia Siemens Networks

mcRNC Interface
2.Logical interface, mapping physical interface
Eg:
add networking ether /EIPU-0 iface ethsfp7 port sfp7
3.Vlan interface
Eg:
add networking instance vrf1cp vlan /EIPU-0 realiface
ethsfp7 vid 350 vlaniface iucscp_r1

For internal use only

Nokia Siemens Networks

mcRNC configure SCLI

1. Configure Interface
Logical interface,mapping to physical
//add networking ether /EIPU-0 iface ethsfp7 port sfp7

Vlan interface for IuCP and forward

//add networking instance vrf1cp vlan /EIPU-0 realiface ethsfp7 vid
350 vlaniface iucscp_r1
//add networking instance vrf1cp vlan /EIPU-0 realiface ethsfp7 vid
359 vlaniface eipu0sfp7
2. Configure IP
IuCP and forward IP
//add networking instance vrf1cp address dedicated /EIPU-0 iface
iucscp_r1 ip-address 192.160.64.1/28 user /SS7SGU
//add networking instance vrf1cp address dedicated /EIPU-0 iface

Nokia Siemens Networks

mcRNC configure SCLI

2. Configure IP
All UP and IUBCP IP
//add networking instance vrf1up address dedicated /QNUP-0 iface
lo11 ip-address 192.160.65.1/32 role iucsup
//add networking instance vrf1cp address dedicated /QNIUB-0 iface
lo10 ip-address 192.160.0.1/32 role iub
3. Configure route
For external
//set routing instance vrf1cp node EIPU-1 static-route
192.160.16.0/22 nexthop gateway address 192.160.104.1 priority 1 on
For internal
//set routing instance vrf1cp node EIPU-1 static-route
192.160.16.0/22 nexthop gateway address 169.254.10.6 priority 8 on
For internal use only

mcRNC configure SCLI

4. IP base route
//add ipbr ipbr-id 1 committed-bandwidth 100000
