10 things every Christian should stop doing.

The bible which is the holy book of Christians is very clear about what a Christian can and
cannot do. "Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers
of the Lords Table, and of the table of devil."(1 Corinthians 10: 21 ) In order to effectively
seek God and hear from him, there are things Christians should stop doing. Christians are
supposed to live and behave in a certain way. Some do them intentionally while others have
no idea they are wrong.
1.They Judge others
Christians should stop judging others. They should welcome everyone as they are. People
come to church with different backgrounds and imperfections to be fixed. Christians should
stop segregating people of God. Christians must minister love and care to the hurting world.
Jesus did interact with all classes of people including prostitutes. There was even this one
time when he used a hated Samaritan as an example of how we are supposed to take care of
each other.
2.Do not read the bible and are ignorant of Gods word.
Some Christians feel ashamed to carry their bibles.The devil can attack or tempt a Christian
with right scripture turned upside down. Satan can use the truth about your problem when it
is convenient. Christians Should always read the bible to be ready. They should never forget
to ask God for wisdom and understanding before reading the holy book. Ignorance of the
word of God makes Christians prone to believe anything just because their pastor said so.

If Ugandan martyrs accepted to die because of their faith, why would a Christian fail to
carry a bible with them. I dont think that carrying a bible is heavier compared to a laptop
bag.
3. Religious prostitutes.
Moving from one church to another .They never settle since they have set standards of their
ideal church not what God had in plan. Many people change churches due to various reasons.
They focus on beauty of church, comfortable seats, eloquent pastors, and music instruments
not their spiritual nourishment. Some men of God advertise themselves as final dealers. Many
look at pastors as too holy and cannot serve God if they sinned. Christians believe in
personalities not God. Some will move when a church leader also moves.
Bible already warns us to respect and support ministry for success Giving no offence in
anything, that the ministry be not blamed (2corinthians 6:3)

4. Make money important before God

Tithing and offertory is optional. Many Christians are offended when asked to give. Many
have made money more important than God. Money makes them hate God to the level of
reducing the tithe. The love of money really is the root of all sorts of evil. Christians should
make choices about what to do with their money every day. Some Christians participate in tax
evasion which is not of God. Bible commands Christians to give back to Caesar what is
Caesar's and to God what is God's. Actions with money matter before God. Some Christians
do the unthinkable of Going to church to get changed money. Christians should go to church
with the exact money denomination they want to offer or use electronic money transfers.
Disrespect for church finances continues among Christians. Some people have been arrested
stealing offertory money. Some believers concentrate on accountability of offertory which is
not their role. They should leave that for God to handle. Tithe is one tenth of annual produce
or earnings of an individual taken to Church. Christians should learn to tithe not five percent
but ten percent. If Christians do not offer, God can still have the money his way. He is the
creater. Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken
together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that
ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (Luke 6:38)Offer the sacrifices of
righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD (Psalms 4:5)
5. Do not believe in miracles
Some Christians suffer because they do not believe in miracles. They live as if miracles in the
bible cannot happen to them. Christians are able to do more than what Jesus did. Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and
greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father ( John 14:12) Christians
should no charge others for the miracles they perform. It is unacceptable for Christians to
hear or read about miracles and do not believe at all. Many believe God cannot heal anyone
of HIV/Aids.Heal the sick, raise the dead, and cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out
demons. Freely you have received; freely give. (Matthew 10:8).
6. Dont pray regularly.
Christians should start believing and trusting in the power of prayer. Bible commands us to
pray without ceasing. Some Christians pray only when they are in trouble and cannot even
pray before they eat. Bible says that Lack if you ask not. Prayer is a communication tool
between God and people. Christians talk to God and he also answers. Christians must prayer
about everything by asking for anything in Gods name. Prayer is a communication to God.

7. Giving up on God easily.
Christians should always understand Gods no and yes. Gods will is not necessarily the same
as personal desires of a Christians. They live without hope for the future because of

impatience. Christians must start to put all their trust in God without fail. This makes them
easily accept Satan.

8. Telling lies.
Christians should stop telling lies. Christians use God's name for evil purposes. Truth will set
a Christian free. Bible warns us against telling lies and talks about repercussion. The lip of
truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment. (Proverbs 12:19).
For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips. (Proverbs
8:7)
9. Showing off in places of worship
Christians look at church as areas to Show off their latest shoes, clothes and electronic
gadgets. Some even intentionally activate loud car alarms. Tabs should not be welcome in
church. Church is a scared place. Christians must treat church as an altar for God.
10. Dont Love like Christ did
You are expected to show unconditional love to even enemies. Christians should stop only
showing love to people who love them or those they love. Christians should stop loving with
terms and conditions attached.
