Description
This qualification covers workers who undertake the collection of blood and other
pathology specimens under supervision. It should be noted that this qualification does
not cover collection of a range of specimens for specialised testing, collection of arterial
blood gases or team leadership and training.

Duration

Full time 17 weeks

eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia in line with
some state/territory nursing and midwifery regulatory authorities.

Enrolled nurses, under the direction and supervision of registered nurses, assist with the
provision of acute, preventative, curative and rehabilitative nursing care in hospitals,
aged-care facilities, the community and other healthcare settings.

Full time 80 weeks

After completing HLT51612 Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled-Division 2 nursing), students


are eligible to apply for registration as an Enrolled Nurse/Division 2 with
AHPRA.
