Workshops for Faculty

Workshops for students

An important initiation taken by IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur, to work with Engineering Colleges of India by conducting workshops at around 345 distinct Remote Centers
across the country. We are proud that, our institution is also
part of such faculty development program. The lecture
transmission and live interaction takes place in distance
mode using AVIEW technology through internet. To enhance the teaching skills of our faculty in core engineering
subjects till now we have conducted two workshops. The
two week ISTE workshop was conducted on CONTROL
SYSTEM during 2nd December to 12th December 2014.
Workshop was funded by national mission on education
through ICT.

Automation Workshop was conducted by Educate To Automate (ETA), Pune on 3rd, 4th & 5th March, 2014 at SIT
COE, Yadrav. The workshop was based on emerging requirements as well as specific need of students to gain automation knowledge. The Instructor for the workshop was
Mr. Sudarshan Mantri.

The workshop was successfully completed under the guidance of Prof. Siddhartha Mukhopadhyay, Department of
Electrical Engineering, IIT Kharagpur and Prof. Tapan Kumar Ghoshal, Department of Electrical Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. In the backdrop of the success of
this workshops another workshop was conducted .
Instructor for the workshop was Prof. Sahana Murthy, Inter
-disciplinary programme in Educational Technology and
Prof. Shridhar Iyer Department of computer science and
Engineering, IIT Bombay.

On the same day another workshop was conducted, on Latex and Mozilla. Latex is a document type setting software .
It is widely used for the publication of scientific and technical documents in many fields, including mathematics,
physics, computer science, statistics, economics, and political science.

Guest Lecture
Expert lecture enables students to lay a strong foundation by
gaining from their experiences and knowledge. The knowledge of
expert lecturer explodes the knowledge of the students. The role
of guest lecturer is an important one. The expert lecturers share
their knowledge and real-life experiences with students. Students
benefit greatly from being exposed to the additional perspectives
that a guest lecturer can provide.
th
On 12 Sept 2014 lecture was conducted for BE,TE and SE
students on the topic Environmental concern-effect of mining on environment by Mr. M. S. Ali from Walchand College
of Engineering, Sangli.
Mr. Byanigouda Shiddanagouda F. from SGICOE, Atigre
delivered Lecture for TE students on the topic Digital
Signal Processing On 22nd Sept.2014.

GATE Preparation
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is important for every student, from Post Graduation perspective. Now a days most of the PSU companies
like BEL, BHEL, IOCL etc are recruiting gate qualified students.
For every subject our department has arranged a
GATE lecture for the B.E students, for their development and for their higher studies. We arrange GATE
lectures by which our Students feel confident to approach the GATE
EXAMINATION.

On 19th Sept.2014 the lecture was conducted for SE and TE students on the
topic Electrical Measurement & Instrumentation by Mr. Sudarshan
Mantri from Pune.
The expert lecture conducted for TE students on the topic Electromagnetic
Engineering by Mrs. Mahadik S R from Dr. J J M COE Jaysingpur.
The guest Prof. U. Gudaru from ADCET, Ashta delivered lecture on the topic
Flexible AC Transmission systems On 16th Sept2014 for BE students.
