Kenya with its Regional offices in Nairobi and its Headquarters in Rome. CISP Kenya carries out projects in area of
development by supporting National and county authorities to provide quality, equitable, transparent and
accountable services in sectors of health and nutrition, education, child protection and renewable energy through
capacity building, promoting active citizenship, shared accountability mechanisms at community, county
authorities and National government level.

Role and Responsibilities

Implement project activities as per plan in the target county/ies; Ensure quality implementation in
accordance with sector international and CISP standards;
Attend and represent CISP in key meetings at county level and facilitate meetings with local authorities and
other stakeholders to identify and strengthen support for project activities, ensure active collaboration and
information sharing.
Facilitate technical trainings for stakeholders and community members;
Ensure strong coordination with project partners;
Support selection and coordination of consultants for implementation of project activities;
In coordination with the finance officers, provide progressive monthly narrative and financial reports on the
implementation of the project;
Identify potential donors and funding opportunities, support preparation of proposals.
Support preparation of materials for accountability, visibility and communication, with the purpose of
promoting and disseminating findings and best practices.
Contributes in the preparation of regular or ad-hoc documents (sheets, brochures, other) to disseminate at
county level.
Attend to any other task and responsibility as agreed with Programme Coordinator.
Profile Required
Minimum of University Degree in Nutrition; Must be registered by the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute
Technical / Professional:

Minimum of 2 years professional experience post qualification in the health and nutrition sector, prior
experience in International organizations preferred;
Experience in advocacy actions and as technical advisor of government departments is an advantage;
Problem solving skills;
Able to prioritize work and meet deadlines;
Able to enforce procedures;
Able to oversee multiple tasks;
Good interpersonal skills, clear communication and facilitation skills;
Excellent computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint
and/or Access;
Familiar with statistics and data analysis;
Takes initiative, is punctual, and pays attention to details;
Excellent writing and editing skills;

Excellent knowledge of Swahili and English languages (written and spoken)

Having worked in the targeted counties is an advantage.
