As October comes upon us and we consider the

opportunities we have to make an impact I would like
to encourage you all to begin to consider these ministry
opportunities.
This time of year we begin to consider the Louisiana
Baptist Children's homes for the coat drive. We are the
only church in the entire state of Louisiana that
provides coats for the LBC Children's homes. That is
not bragging except on you all who do so well at caring
for those in need.
This time of the year we also begin to start looking to
Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes in conjunction
with Samaritan's Purse. We send these shoe boxes out
with two things in mind. First we want each person
who will receive a shoe box to know they are loved
and made in the image of God and through His Son
Jesus Christ they can have eternal life. So this is a
witness from our homes to their homes wherever that
may be. Secondly we feel it is a great way to make sure
those who may not be able to have a Christmas can
have a Christmas Gift.
The final challenge I have for you as you read this
news letter is to consider also this time of year when
we give extra to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
This year I am going to make a specific challenge that I
will share with you on a Sunday as we get closer into
the month of November.
Thank you Church for how you care and love one
another and how you love and care for those this
community.
Richest Blessings as we make plans to love and serve
into the months ahead.
