I installed a new operating
system (windows 7) and all
application software (office
2007 , adobe , team
viewer, Skype etc)as per
user requirement. I joined
the machine on the ZB
bank domain and also

configured outlook mail for

the user.

A faulty mouse from

Graniteside branch needed to
be repaired

A laptop(probook 4530s) was

failing to charge

A laptop from ZB house needed

to be activated its windows 7
operating software.

The mouse had loose

connections so I tightened
the loose connections and
tested it and it was working
properly
The laptop was failing to
charge and I tested the
power pack for continuity
using a test meter and the
power pack showed signs
of discontinuity I replaced
the power pack with a new
tested one.
The laptop was installed
windows 7 professional
operating system. I
activated the operating
system using an activation
key and it was successful.

The same laptop was failing to

connect to network
I resolved the issue by
installing Ethernet drivers
through running Driver
pack 13 software and
configured the network
card.

A user at ZB House branch

needed to be connected to a
network printer

I configured the machine

so that it could connect to
the printer using the IP
address of the printer since
it was a network printer. I
printed a test page and it
was successful.

Transfer of 3 machines from ZB

Live branch to Chinhoyi

I tested all the machines

and installed extra software
as per requirement for
users in Chinhoyi . The
machines were sent via
Swift

Each machine transferred is

recorded and I did record all
the machines before there
were transferred.
A new thermal printer (Epson
TM-T88IV) for Belmont Branch

Upgrading from windows 7

operating system to windows 8
operating system.

The laptop was failing to

connect to a wireless
connection

First I configured the printer

since it was new and I
tested the printer by
printing a test page before
dispatching it.

A user at the Westend

branch wanted his Laptops
operating system upgraded
from windows 7 to windows
8. I installed windows 8 on
the machine and installed
all the basic application
software (office, adobe,
Skype, team viewer e.t.c)
used on ZB bank.

I installed the wireless

drivers for windows 8 pro.

The machine was now able

to connect to a wireless
connection
Hwange branch requested for
mouse (x3) because those they
were using were faulty.

Responded to the request

and sent them 3 new
tested mouses through
swift since the old ones
were in a beyond repair
status.

Installation of a thermal printer I installed the drivers on the

(Epson tm-u220) at Granite
machine for the printer
side branch
model (Epson tm-u220)
through Team viewer setup.
I installed and configured
the printer through team
viewer setup before
printing a test page and it
was successful.
A user with a laptop(4530s)
was having a RegClean Pro
error whenever he starts his
machine

RegClean Pro is a system

optimizer utility, which is
promoted via other free
downloads, and once
installed it claims that
several issues were been
detected on your computer.
If you try to fix these
problems, RegClean Pro will
state that you need to buy
its full version before being
able to do so.

I uninstalled the application

software and restarted the
machine. The error
disappeared

Faulty mouse for an attach at

ZB house
Installation of Skype account
and creation of Skype account
for a user at rotten row

Replaced the mouse and

tested the new mouse
before giving it to him
I installed Skype and
created an account for the
user and tested it by calling
another colleague on Skype
and it behaved well.

I upgraded 7 machines
Upgrading of machines at ZB
from windows xp to
live from windows XP to
windows 7. I also joined
windows 7 operating software them on the domain,
and installation of application
installed all applications
software including all
including office, Equation,
configurations to make the
Skype, team viewer etc. I
machines visible on ZB network also connected all the
machines to a network
printer.
I also installed the drivers
for a scanner G3110 one of
the machines and
configured the scanner and
I tested it and was
successful
A battery for a laptop hp 3540
could needed a new battery

An attach wanted a new

mouse because the one he had
wasnt functioning properly
A computer failing to connect

I requested for a new

battery from my supervisor
and replaced the old
battery
I replaced the old mouse

A computer was failing to

connect to an HP office jet
4500. Windows update had
no drivers so the machine

could not pick the drivers

automatically so I had to
install the drivers which I
had downloaded. I tested
the printer and it worked
well

connected to a machine

The user could not access

network resources because the
cable was wrongly inserted
A scanner (Hp scanjet G2410)
was failing to scan the whole
page
User could not share his printer
to allow others to print through
his machine

The user could not create an

outlook profile to access his

I blew the note counter

using a blower. Dust
disturbs smooth flow of
notes being counted hence
sometimes it freezes or
misbehaves. After blowing I
tested the machine and it
tested ok.
Installed the Hp drivers on
the computer and then
connected the printer

I Re insert the cable

correctly and Log on again.
The user was then able to
log into her account.
The tour belt was damaged.
I changed the belt and
tested the scanner and it
was repaired successfully.
On the machine where the
printer was connected I
enabled it to be shared and
to allow others to print
through his machine
I created an outlook profile
to enable him to access his
mail.

A personal laptop for an

attach at datacenter was
failing to open pdf files.

The user was failing to extract

zipped files.

A laptop(Hp 4530s) had a

faulty keyboard

Common causes of keyboard

failure include spilling liquids
on the keyboard and playing
games using the keyboard.

I also created a personal

folder for him so that his
emails can be saved
directly on his machine and
this is done to save space
on a mail sever
I uninstalled the old adobe
reader that was installed on
his laptop and installed the
latest version of adobe
reader.

I installed winrar setup on

his machine and was now
able to extract files
The models of the
keyboards are those that
cant be repaired you can
only change the whole
keyboard even if its only a
few keys that maybe
affected.
Solution: I replaced the
keyboard and tested the
new keyboard and all keys
were functioning
