All students are required to take the Accuplacer Computerized Placement Test in Math,
English and Reading. For more info and practice tests go to

Testing takes place at the BHCC Campus, Room B118. You can contact the Assessment
Center at 617-228-2468.
The Accuplacer is available on a walk-in basis. Be sure to bring a government-issued ID with
you.
To access your online account, go to http://onlineservices.bhcc.mass.edu and click on
Current Students, then click on Whats my User ID? to obtain your username using
either your social security number or Student ID number.
Once youve created your User ID, you can reset your password by clicking on Whats my
password?
Make payment arrangements prior to registration. Options include: (1) Paying term bill in
full, (2) having pending financial aid award from BHCC, (3) submitting third party
commitment letter or purchase order to Student Payment Office, or (4) create a BHCC
payment plan online (1st payment & $35 fee due at time of plan creation). To enroll in the
payment plan, go here http://www.bhcc.mass.edu/autopay/ and follow Simple Steps to
Enroll in the Payment Plan.
You may be able to waive BHCCs health insurance in favor of your current insurance,
potentially saving you hundreds of dollars. For more info:

Register for orientation by logging into your online student account, using the link at the
top of document.
Attend the 5-hour BHCC Start Smart Orientation with sessions listed throughout June, the
last of which is June 27th. However, more dates will become available later in the summer
so check back to see the new dates.
You must have taken the Accuplacer exam by the beginning of your orientation session.
Arrive at orientation with a valid government-issued photo ID, your username and password
for the portal (see above) and a copy of your health insurance card.
The first day of classes for the Fall 2013 semester is September 3rd.

SAP is a policy in which students must maintain a minimum GPA and complete a certain
percentage of credits attempted in order to remain eligible for Financial Aid

Need to borrow federal education loans to pay your bill at BHCC?
Complete the Master Promissory Note (MPN/loan application) and Entrance Counseling
(guide to your loans) in order for loan money to be sent to your college.
Complete the MPN and Entrance Counseling at www.studentloans.gov Use your FAFSA PIN
to log in.
Visit the financial aid office to complete the BHCC Federal Direct Loan Request Form

Federal Work Study is a need-based federal program that may be a part of your financial
aid package.
You must complete a FAFSA and then BHCC will determine your eligibility for work-study
Provides you with a part-time job opportunity on campus to help you balance academics
and work
