ADVERB OR ADJECTIVE?

WHOS WEARING THE LY?

Adjectives are words used to describe or modify nouns or pronouns.

They answer the questions: what kind, which one, how many or how much.
The big yellow bus drove down my street.
Big and yellow tell us what kind of bus.
They describe the word bus so we have more information. The adjectives
make a word picture in our minds.
Adverbs are words used to describe verbs, adjectives or other adverbs.
We say that an adverb modifies or describes these other parts of speech.
Adverbs are not verbs. Instead, they help answer questions about the
words they describe. How? When? Where? To what extent (how long or how
much?) They can show up in many different places in a sentence. You can even
have adverbs that answer different questions about the same verb in one
sentence. Many adverbs end in ly which makes them easy to find.
