Once, the gods and goddesses walk down here on our world and eventually
fell in love with mortals, but a pact was made after World War II-the gods are not
allowed to interact with their mortal families, no communications at all.

The results of their love are called half bloods. Half human and half god and are
properly called as Demigods. Perseus Jackson is a special demigod; he¶s the son of the
magnificent Poseidon, god of the seas and oceans. Before he knew who he really is, he
lives a normal and typical life with his mortal mother and stinky ³stepfather´. He had to
meet some bullies, confront the sweet and sour life of high school, go to field trips, be in
front of some terror teachers and suffers from ADHD and dyslexia.

One time, they were having a field trip in a museum, Mr. Brunner their teacher in Latin,
was leading them through the hallways and corridors of the Greek museum. He was
making efforts to introduce the different gods and goddesses of ancient Greece. Mrs.
Dodds, the substitute English teacher tried to speak to him, but as Percy and Mrs.
Dodds are about to enter a room, Mrs. Dodds is nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, a fury
screamed with desperation, and attacked him. Percy run and run around the room until
Mr. Brunner and his best friend Grover enters the room and eventually the fury was
scared and flew away.

Mr. Brunner let Grover and Percy to leave the museum and recommended to seek refuge
at Camp Half Blood, a training camp for demigods. He gave Percy a magical pen that
turns into a sword. Percy, still bewildered and confused had nothing to do but to follow
what they are saying because for one thing, he believed in them. As they got home,
Grover explained everything to Sally, Percy¶s mother, and she already knew what was
happening. They jumped on to the car but as they are drawing near the camp, a
Minotaur blocked there way and grabbed Sally. Percy fought the Minotaur without
thinking twice, and in due course he killed the monster, but his mom disappeared. He
fell asleep and woke up after three consecutive days.
When he¶s conscious was back, he saw Grover with legs of a goat, and his memory came
back to him that his mother was kidnapped, kidnapped by Hades. As he was strong
enough, he took Percy to see the camp director, Mr. Brunner. In Camp Half Blood, Mr.
Brunner is now Chiron, the legendary half horse and half human. He was amazed of this
³new world´. He also knew that the Greek civilization was transferred into the most
cultured and urbane place in the world-U.S.A. He saw lots of demigods, and realized
that there are many demigods out there. What caught him most is Annabeth Chase,
daughter of Athena, goddess of wisdom and battle strategy, beautiful and strong. He
also met Luke Castellan, son of Hermes and the first one who showed hospitality at the
camp.

Chiron explained to him that he was accused of stealing the master lightning bolt of
Zeus and that his life is in grave danger, for the fact that the others believe that he really
possess the bolt, but he assures him he didn¶t steal anything, Chiron believed what Percy
stated.

To make it more exciting, Percy can¶t sleep with any assurance that her mother is alive.
So, that night he sneak out to look for his mother in the underworld with Hades , but he
was busted by Grover and Annabeth. They were insisting to go with him, so he also
agreed, but they don¶t know how to get there. So they called on Luke to get some
assistance and help, after all he¶s the son of the messengers of the God and his father
knows how to get in and out of the underworld. He was glad to help them; he gave them
some pair of flying sneakers, shield and the map to know where the next location they
need to go. They need to look first for a stone that will let them out of the underworld
safely, and after they collect three stones the map will reveal the location of the
underworld.

As they were on their own odyssey, they met certain mythological creatures and places,
namely, Medusa who wants to turn them to stone, and they found the first stone at her
lair at New Jersey, they entered and found the second stone at the Lotus Casino at Las
Vegas which will trap you forever if you¶ll constantly eat the lotus food that their serving,
then the third stone is at the Nashville¶s perfect replica of The Parthenon. As they
successfully collect the third stone, the map shows the present location of the
underworld and it is situated at Hollywood. They enter the cave entrance of the River
Styx and found a ferryman, and took the ride with exchange of golden drachmas. They
have gain host with Hades and Persephone. Hades makes a bargain, but Percy said that
he didn¶t came for a bargain because he didn¶t have the bolt, that he just went to the
underworld because of his mother and to clear his name. Hades didn¶t buy it, suddenly
the shield in his arms dropped and a fizzling sound was covering the court of the
underworld and it was the Lightning Bolt of Zeus!

Annabeth, Grover, and Percy can¶t believe it, Luke set them up, he knew that they¶ll go
to the underworld and he thought that Percy might as well deliver the bolt to Hades. He
is the traitor.

Hades grasp the bolt but Persephone tricked him and Hades was unconscious and let
them out, but they only got three stones, and they were already four of them because of
Percy¶s mother, that¶s when Grover decided to be the one to stay.

They were on the top of the Empire State Building, the present dwelling place of the
Mount Olympus. Luke showed up and a fight was ignited between him and Percy, but
the gods favor those who favor them, so Percy succeeded, but he never attempt to kill
Luke.

He was the one to view host with the gods, return the master bolt, clear his name and
told them that Luke is the Lightning Thief, because he hated the gods especially his
father, for the fact that he didn¶t care for him. He also wished that his best friend Grover
to be freed from the underworld, and luckily the gods heard his plea.

He came back to the Camp as a hero, and lives a life with his mother and they leaved
Gabe¶s stinky apartment, but this time his life will never be normal the way it was
before.
