capsule with 40
mL apple juice
and inject
through tube,
flush tube with
additional apple
juice; or
granules for oral
suspension can
be added to 30
mL water, stir

patient drink
immediately.
Arrange for
further
evaluation of
patient after 4
wk of therapy
for acute gastro
reflux disorders
if symptomatic
improvement
does not rule
out gastric
cancer, which

hypotension.
When taking

medications,
the client
needs to have
blood cells
counts, renal
function,
hepatic
function, and
blood pressure
monitored.
Adverse
effects of
these drugs
occur more
commonly in
elderly clients.
Explain to
the client that
use of these
drugs in warm
weather may
increase the
likelihood of
heatstroke.
