Nitotile EP Grout

constructive solutions

Chemical resistant epoxy grout for tiles

Uses

Instructions for use

As a grout for filling quarry and ceramic tile joints where

chemical and abrasion resistance properties are required
such as laboratories, food processing plants, hospitals,
abattoirs, kitchen and swimming pools etc.

Surface preparation

When fully cured Nitotile EP Grout is impervious to water

and other liquids and provides chemical - resistant joints
between walls and floor tiles. The grout may be used in tile
joints up to 12 mm wide in internal or external applications.

It is important that surfaces should be clean and free from

dust, loose particles and grease.
Oil and grease
contaminated concrete surfaces should be treated with
Fosroc Chemical Degreaser and then washed well with
clean water. Steel surfaces should be grit blasted to SA 2
and the grout applied within 3 hours of blasting.
Mixing

Advantages

Easy to clean-up during application - can be washed off

with water until initial set.

The base and hardener components should be individually

stirred to re-disperse any settlement. Base and hardener
should then be mixed until a uniform grey paste is obtained.
The filler should then be incorporated using a slow speed
drill and paddle.

Long work life - gives long adjustability time.

Applications

Waterproof - unaffected by water when cured.

The mixed grout should then be applied rubber trowel,

sweeping the grouting paste into the joints. Alternatively
use the hand operated gun to fill in the joints. Ensure that
all the joints are completely filled.

Easy to apply - fast application possible.

Interior or exterior use.

Chemical resistant - excellent resistance to acid and
alkalis.
High bond strength to steel, concrete and tiles.

After about 30 minutes or prior to the expiry of pot life of the

grout, clean the excess grout with a cellulose sponge and
clean warm water to provide neat finish surfaces.

Suitable for use in Middle East conditions.

Cleaning

Description

The grout can be removed from tiles and tools before initial
set using a damp rag. After initial set Fosroc Solvent 102
and/or mechanical removal is necessary.
