Summary
The miniature limit switch Type 8064/2.--..- meets the requirements of the type of
protection Electrical apparatus protected by enclosures for an electrical apparatus
for use in the presence of combustible dust, equipment group II, category 2D
Safety instructions

[17]

The manufacturer is under an obligation to carry out routine tests and the required
test for meeting the explosion proofness regulations for the miniature limit switch
Type 8064/2. in accordance with EN 50014-1997 + A1 + A2, section 24.

At selection, installation and maintenance the requirements of DIN EN 50281-1-2

shall meet. Under consideration of the safety factor defined in DIN EN 50281-1-2
the maximum surface temperature of the miniature limit switch shall not exceed
the ignition temperature of the dust/air mixture respectively the smouldering temperature.

The quality of the connection cable shall satisfy the thermal and mechanical requirements within the functional range. If the connecting cable is not shielded, the
connecting cable must be protected from damage. The partly limit temperature
range of the cable (max. 70 C) has to be taken into account.

Special Conditions
-

The miniature limit switch Type 8064/2. shall be installed in such way, that the
mechanical protection against impact energy in accordance with EN 50014 section 23.4.3.1 is always guaranteed.

The open ends of the connecting cable are to be protected according to the requirements of the dust explosion protection (e.g. terminal box IP 6X).

The maximum surface temperature T 80 C is valid for the following ambient temperatures and maximum currents:
