Lesson Summary
In this lesson, the main focus is on the language arts. Teacher begins with a chant on the Red Riding
Hood's story. Students will read the chant together. In activity 1, Teacher introduces characters in a
'Red Riding Hood' to students. Teacher takes out the characters from the bag /box. Characters are
introduced by using stick puppets. In activity 2, there are 2 parts. Part 1, teacher plays a video to
students. Teacher pauses and asks students to read the subtitles provided. When teacher pauses the
video, she will simplify the story to students. Teacher will be using the stick puppets to tell the story
from the scene. Teacher proceeds to the next activity. Part 2, in groups, students will do a storyboard.
Materials are provided by the teacher. Students need to arrange the pictures and the story. Students
paste it in the drawing block. Teacher will guide every group. In activity 3, in groups, students will
make a stick puppet. Each member in a group will get a character from the story Red Riding Hood.
Teacher will provide the materials. Students need to cut the picture and colour it. Lastly, students paste
the picture on an ice-cream stick.
