Generic datasource extraction from R/3 report 10 May, 2012 1:59 PM
Friends,
Please help me to create a generic data source in ECC over a R/3 report? and advise me how to transfer the
same to BW
I know about RSO2 transaction, but please help me to fill the next screen

Hi,
Generic datasource is created on table/view, function module, or infoset query.
We cant create a datasource on r/3 report.
In RSO2 choose the suitable option to create ur datasource.

I think it would be better to go with Infoset query. Include the same logic in the query used in report and build a
Datasource on that
Lets wait for more inputs....

Could you please let me know, how we can get the R/3 report into BI system.
Foe example: ZNOTIFCOST is there in R/3 side..then we need to get this report into BI side.To this what we
can do ?
