Experience
15+ years of service with Microsoft Corporation in a variety of IC, Delivery Management, and Services Leadership
roles:
Senior Delivery Project Manager, Public Sector
September 2010 June 2015

Microsoft Corporation
Annapolis Junction, MD

Microsoft Services Senior Project Manager within Microsofts National Intel Group responsible for successfully delivering a portfolio of
engagements supporting mission efforts across several government agencies within the Intel space (including both Infrastructure and Software
Development projects). Managed multiple projects/programs and achieved year-over-year contract renewals, while substantially growing services
revenue and customer satisfaction. These achievements led to the award of a multi-year IT Modernization program for one of our largest and most
successful contracts. This program involved managing 10-12 interrelated work streams running simultaneously with a combined team of 15
Microsoft Services consultants. The successful delivery of this program was also personally acknowledged by the VP of Microsoft Public Sector
Services and we were awarded the Dream Team award for 2015. The visibility gained from these accomplishments catapulted this engagement to
become viewed as the gold standard by peers, and other managers. Other services performed in this role included serving as the de facto PMO

lead within the Microsoft National Intel Practice for the last 5 years.

Program Manager, Private Sector

June 2009 - September 2010

(Independent Contractor)

CPA Global, Alexandria, VA

As the Program Manager for a large, complex $30 million strategic software development program for CPA Global, led the effort to
build a commercial Patent Research and Analysis program. This program involved multiple work streams supported by 8 subcontractor teams (based in VA, CA, NJ, UK, India and Puerto Rico) that were responsible for delivering different components of the
solution. When hired to take on this challenge, the program was in serious trouble, a year behind schedule, and more or less in chaos.
Immediately became heavily involved in re-defining and documenting all requirements, developing a comprehensive master schedule,
and coordinating the combined effort of the subcontractor teams over the next 18 months. Also instituted new management processes
for status reporting, change control, risk management, software testing, and release management. Additionally, assisted senior
executives across the global organization to perform competitive analysis, produce marketing plans, and commercial launch timelines
to track in parallel with our development schedule. The program was delivered successfully in September, 2010 and CPA Global
publicly launched their commercial release of this innovative software solution (Discover). That product now generates significant
revenue for CPA as a hosted subscription-based service for their clients around the world.

Professional Development Resource Manager (PDRM),

October 2002 - January 2009

Microsoft Corporation
Bethesda, MD

PDRM in the Mid-Atlantic district, managing a high-performance consulting team with 27 direct reports. Performed coaching,
mentoring, engagement staffing, capacity planning, recruiting, skills development, service readiness, and produced key performance
metrics and other reporting for the SLT. Actively supported direct reports in annual mid-year and year-end performance reviews, and
worked closely with my team on their overall career development. Consistently received very high marks on the annual MS Poll and
Manager Feedback surveys year over year. As a mentor and coach in this role, helped grow and mature some of the best consulting
talent in Microsoft Services.

Senior Consultant, Enterprise Strategy, Partner Strategy

September 1998 October 2002

Microsoft Corporation
Bethesda, MD

I joined Microsoft as a Senior Consultant and served in multiple roles within Microsoft Consulting Services, including Enterprise
Strategy Consultant (ESC), Partner Strategy Consultant (PSC), Business Value Analyst, and Project Manager. In the ESC role, I
worked with a number of large corporate customers (BGE, Marriott, Media General, Capital One Bank and others) to assist them with
developing their 5-year IT Strategic plans and prioritizing their project portfolios in terms of business value. I also served as the Rapid
Economic Justification (REJ) champ for the Mid-Atlantic district during this time and delivered several business value assessments
for companies considering a potential investment in the Microsoft platform. Additionally, I delivered several internal training classes
on conducting REJ assessments and presented a session on the topic at the annual Microsoft conference in San Diego. Microsoft also
published a case study on my work at BG&E.

Technical Manager
April 1996 September 1998

Glenelg, MD 21737
(410) 598-3513 - cell
IKON Technology Services
Columbia, MD

Recruited away from Bell Atlantic and joined US Connect (later acquired by IKON) to establish and grow a new Microsoft Practice
Group within their Consulting and Systems Integration division (traditionally a Lotus Notes shop). I was given the charter to build
this new group from scratch in their Columbia, MD office. I leveraged my contacts from across the local IT community to recruit a
top notch team, all of whom had staked their individual careers on Microsoft technologies. I built a talented team of experienced
consultants and forged a strong partner relationship with Microsoft who readily brought us into many opportunities. As a result, our
Microsoft Practice produced over a ten-fold increase in Microsoft-related revenue, substantially outpacing the original Lotus Notes
group. As Technical Manager, I regularly met with clients managerial and technical staffs to assess and analyze requirements,
prepare contract proposals, develop and manage project plans, and promote new follow-on business. I also managed the ensuing
engagements, developed internal business processes, created common templates and other collateral for our business, and established
a new work-shop delivery methodology to promote and deliver more fixed-priced engagements.

Programmer/Analyst | Financial Specialist | Manager

November 1986 April 1996

Bell Atlantic / Verizon

Silver Spring, MD

Held several progressive positions as a software developer in the Corporate Financial Systems division, including
Programmer, Programmer Analyst, and Financial Specialist. Developed the first ever Windows-based application deployed
in Bell Atlantic for the Marketing organization (from which I received an MVP award for innovation). That accomplishment
was followed by delivering several other client/server applications developed on the Windows platform. Based on the
success of those early Windows applications, promoted to Financial Specialist and served as the Program Manager to lead a
much larger software development effort to design and build a new enterprise-wide budgeting system. I developed the
original systems concept, produced a cost comparison between doing the development on Windows vs. UNIX, presented my
findings to the CFO, and received approval to proceed. From there I led the detailed requirements analysis and managed
ongoing development, testing, risk mitigation and release management efforts. This system as delivered in record time and
was a great success, fundamentally changing the way the budgeting process was performed across the whole company.
Microsoft published a case study on Bell Atlantics new budgeting system (released at their TechEd 1995 conference) and I
was subsequently promoted to Manager, IT Strategy in the Corporate IT group.

Lineman | Installer | Mobile Radio & LD Microwave Technician | Engineer AT&T

Charleston, WV
Before being promoted and transferred into the Corporate IT group with Bell Atlantic, I served in a progression of
Telephony-related roles.
