To promote and enhance the CE Family Spirit and the CE Identity, forging closer ties
between the students and the department.
To cater to the career development needs and look into the welfare of the Civil
Engineering students.
To organize local and overseas community involvement projects aimed at raising
students awareness of the less fortunate in society.
To stir awareness and interest in the Civil Engineering field in Civil Engineering
students.
To work with Civil and Environmental Engineering Department to resolve all student
affairs.
To collaborate with our sister Club, the Environmental Science and Engineering Student
Club (ESESC) and the NUS Students Engineering Club to bring about better events.

Members of the Ex-co have the right to veto any decisions made by the Management
Committee members and can also amend the Policy Book.
The positions for Operation Orion will be recruited under the Operation Orion Main
Organising Committee.
The structure of the club may change due to the availability of suitable candidates.

The Vice-Chairperson (External Relations) should keep a constant lookout for related career
networking sessions and actively share with the cohort.
He/ She is to ensure the sub-committee members help out one another to ensure an enjoyable
and fulfilling experience serving in the Management Committee.
Secretary Cum Financial Controller
The Secretary Cum Financial Controller should manage all record-keeping and administrative
details. Detailed records of past events/activities organized by the club should be kept available
and up-to-date. The Secretary Cum Financial Controller will also record the minutes for club
meetings, and arrange the room and setup for all meetings.
The Secretary Cum Financial Controller should manage the club's financial health handles the
club's finances. The Secretary Cum Financial Controller will receive and disburse funds to further
the operation of the club. At the end of every semester, the Secretary Cum Financial Controller
must prepare a record of the transactions and accounts balance of the club. The Secretary Cum
Financial Controller will also liaise with the NUS Engineering Club on financial administrative
matters.
The Secretary Cum Financial Controller is also responsible for improving the working
relationship with NUS Students Engineering Club, Environmental Science and Engineering
Student Club (ESESC) and the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, together with
the Chairperson.
To foster closer relationships among CE students, CE Club organizes Welfare Activities. This
event gives undergraduates the chance to exercise and be healthy. Furthermore, participants can
also bond together as they overcome the physical challenges together. The CE Club is innovative
and always tries to bring in fresh ideas to NUS. We were the first to organize a Lasertag game at
night in NUS in 2009 and 2010. In 2008, we organized a night cycling expedition.
Club Operations and Development Sub-committee
This sub-committee forms the core operations of the Club, operations that are essential for any
events or initiatives that the Club spearheads. Members of this sub-committee are specialised in
their own field and should constantly strive to upkeep good practices and improve on the current
system within their own domain. Members will also be responsible for reviewing the clubs
structure and documentation system and improve it if necessary.
Career Development Sub-committee
The sub-committees objective is to create career awareness by working with students from the
cohort and implementing a series of programs. The members are responsible for arranging site
visits and talks by industrial partners. They will also arrange avenues for undergraduates who
have returned from industrial attachments (IA, VIP) and overseas programs (SEP, NOC) to share
their experiences with others. The sub-committee will also assist in the organization of Safety and
Health Day in order to inculcate safety values into the CE community.
Student Affairs & Welfare Sub-committee
The sub-committee focuses on issues regarding academic progression and student life of the
undergraduates. The members will create avenues for the undergraduates to feedback on such
issues. They will investigate and recommend policies to the club and to the Civil and
Environmental Engineering Department through the Chairperson. The sub-committee will also
facilitate the transition of undergraduates from the common engineering stream, polytechnic
track and overseas exchange programs into the Civil Engineering program.
The sub-committee is also to look after the wellbeing of the undergraduates. They will also help
to organize the welfare activities and CEE Day.
