Accomplishments:
Designed Hydrosyphon Reactor which is a very new technology, useful for exothermic gas-liquid
reaction and to make batch process into continuous mode of operation.
Capacity re-establishment of Triple effect evaporator from 3 MT/hr to 4 MT/hr.
Solvent loss reduction.
Improvement in the yield of one of the main product from 78% to currently 80.5% .
Reduction in phenol norms in aqueous effluent stream from 15000 ppm to 50 ppm by liquid-liquid
extraction.

Worked as a Chemical Engineer Trainee with M/s Filtra Catalysts & Chemicals Ltd. at Lote, Khed.

Production planning and scheduling for achieving the given production target.
Close monitoring of process parameters and maintaining them at the required process conditions.
Online trouble shooting of various unit operations like fixed bed catalytic vapor phase reactor,
vacuum distillation, azeotropic distillation, continuous distillation, continuous extraction and
dissociation extraction.
Calculations of material balance, energy balance, tank calibrations and rating of process
equipments.
Preparation of daily production report.
Co-ordination with maintenance people, plant operators and workers.
Explaining the operators and workers about the new changes in existing process and its importance.

Accomplishment:
Utilization of Methane which was the byproduct of the reaction, for the generations of hot flue
gases.
Improvement in the quality of product by azeotropic distillation.
AWARDS AND PRIZES:

Awarded with Shri G.M Abhyankar Research Presentation Award instituted in the UICT,
Mumbai for the year 2007-2008.
Won The Best Paper Award for paper entitled Selective separation of Metals and
Simultaneous Removal of Organics by using MEUF and Recovery of Surfactant presented in
DAE-BRNS BIENIEAL SYMPOSIUM on Emerging Trends in Separation Science and
Technology held at Delhi University, Delhi during 12-14 March, 2008.
Won First Prize in Age of Chempires held at AZEOTROPY08 organized by the ChEA,
IIT Bombay on 9th March, 2008.
Recipient of UGC Fellowship.

Qualified GATE 2004 and GATE- 2005.


Won First prize in Poster Presentation at Science Exhibition conducted by North
Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, 2005.
