Seek Ye the Righteous Path of God’s Kingdom

Recognize sin before God.

1. Realize that all have sinned and need a Savior. "All have sinned, and come
short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). "If we say that we have no sin, we
deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us" (1 John 1:8)
2. Repent of sin. "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3).
"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out"
(Acts 3:19).
3. Confess your sins to God. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1John 1:19).
"With the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:10).
4. Forsake sin. "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his
thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord...for he will abundantly pardon"
(Isaiah 55:7).
5. Believe in the finished work of Christ on the cross. "For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
6. Receive Christ into your heart by faith. "As many as received him, to them gave
he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name"
(John 1:12)
7. Proclaim Jesus as Lord. "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved...For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be
saved" (Romans 10:9; 13)

Recognize the unrighteous who are nothing more than workers of iniquity.

Jer 9:4-6
4 Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every
brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders.
5 And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have
taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.
6 Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith
the LORD.

Jer 9:8
8 Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his
neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.

Jer 7:8-10
8 Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto
Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;
10 And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say,
We are delivered to do all these abominations?
Jer 22:13
13 Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong;
that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;

Isa 32:7
7 The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the
poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.

Prov 20:23
23 Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good.
