Ans. The father asked his first son to take half the
camels, his second son to take a third and his youngest

Ans. Hameed was given the largest share because he
was the eldest son.
c. Why did the brothers quarrel?
Ans. The brothers quarreled because they were unable
to divide the camels according to their fathers will.
d. How did the brothers try to solve the problem?
Ans. The brothers gave different suggestions to solve
the problem.
Hameed said that his share is eight camels and a half
so he should take nine camels. Rafiq suggested that
they should either sell a camel and divide the money or
kill a camel and feed the villagers.
e. Who offered to help the brothers?
Ans. A holy man who was passing by leading a camel
offered to help the brothers.
f. Why did the brothers not want to take the holy mans
camel?
Ans. The brothers did not want to take the holy mans
camel because they did not want him to lose his camel
for solving their problem.
g. Was anyone unhappy in the end?
Ans. No, nobody was unhappy in the end.
h. Why do you think the father set such a difficult task?
Ans. The father wanted his sons to learn a lesson that
every problem has a solution if we try to solve it wisely
without fighting.
