A human teacher is defined as the experienced, knowledgeable and patient teacher following the

traditional ways for educating student by giving them face to face lesson/lecture, whereas a
computer is an electronic device which can be used by student to get support for educational
purpose. A computer can help a student in educational field by various computer softwares,
multimedia or by providing access to various learning resources on the internet. Follansbee et.al
(1996) found that teachers with online access are able to provide much better information about
studies.

I am not afraid that computers will replace human teachers, those who believe that computers
can replace human teachers actually have forgotten the basic complexity of the job that teachers
perform. There is no doubt that latest computers are able to provide customized direct
instructions and at evaluating student mastery of basic knowledge and skills. But I think good
teachers are able to do much more than present information and drill the basics, highly qualified
and skilled teachers guide their students through number of activities that strength them to
synthesize, analyze and make them able to apply what they have learned from their academics in
to the real world. Teachers help their students to develop critical and creative thinking by
providing them qualitative feedback, but from technological perspective a computer will never
be able to build intimate relations with students, because computers dont have ability to
understand the social life of human beings. Teachers are able to understand the feeling s and
emotions of students while computers cannot support students in their social life. Teachers are
the most responsible and important members of society because their efforts have direct impact
on the lives of students (Helen Caldicott, 1999)

Teachers can share their personal experience and knowledge of subject matter which facilitate
the students in improving their learning in both face to face and virtual (ISTE#1). In the
technological era teachers are able to understand the social issues and responsibilities including
various digital rights of people around the world which they promote to students during their
practices. (ISTE #4)

I believe that our educational system cannot be only improved by the technology, it will be
impossible for us to meet the modern needs of the world by eliminating the role of teachers from
our society. With the help of technology we can improve educational environment and it will be
easy for human teachers to deliver their knowledge, views and opinions in a smooth way to their
students.
