Pang-Activity Card
Here are common things found in our everyday life. State the shape of
each object.

TRAPEZOID

RECTANGLE

KITE
RHOMBUS

Ung mga Remember;

A quadrilateral is convex if and only if its diagonals intersect.

A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with exactly one pair of parallel sides
In an isosceles trapezoid, the legs are congruent, the base angles are
congruent and the diagonals are congruent.
The median of a trapezoid is parallel to the bases, and its length is
equal to half the sum of the length of the bases.
Opposite angles of a parallelogram are congruent.
Two nonopposite angles of a parallelogram are supplementary
A diagonal of a parallelogram divides the parallelogram into 2
congruent triangles.

Two opposite sides of a parallelogram are congruent.

The diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other.
In a rectangle/square, the diagonals are congruent.
In a square, a diagonal forms two congruent isosceles right triangles.
In a rhombus, each diagonal bisects opposite angles.
In a rhombus, diagonals are perpendicular to each other.

A quadrilateral is a parallelogram if its opposite sides are congruent.

A quadrilateral is a parallelogram if a pair of opposite sides is parallel
and congruent.
A quadrilateral is a parallelogram if its diagonals bisect each other.
A quadrilateral is a parallelogram if opposite angles are congruent.

In a kite, diagonals are perpendicular to each other.

The area of a kite is given by A=1/2 d1 d2.

GUIDE CARD

In this Instructional Material you will learn the properties and different
kinds of quadrilaterals. You will learn how to identify and classify a
quadrilateral and also learn to measure angles of a quadrilateral and
their relationship to their diagonals.

In using this Instructional Material, you have to place the different

shapes of quadrilaterals on the base we provided according to their
number. After reading the Enrichment card, you have to answer the
following answers at the back of it. Rotating the shape will help you
answer the questions.

Answer the questions using the concepts you have learned about the
quadrilaterals. At the end of the game, you may check your answers
and see how well you have done. If some of your answers were wrong,
use the Instructional Material again to look over the parts you haven’t
understood. Retake the activities until you find your place as a
quadrilateral master.
