All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), an autonomous body under the Ministry
of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, committed to bring a better quality of life into
the lives of people with communication disorders and to reach out to the Nation. AIISH is the only
institute of its kind in the South Asia, which brings together the activities of research, education,
public education, training and clinical services in speech and hearing on a single platform.
Director invites applications for the following posts on Direct Recruitment basis from those
talented citizens of India, who are committed to render service to the Institute to achieve its
mission of reaching out to the Nation.
1) Lecturer in Clinical Psychology -1 post (Unreserved General)
Age - Below 35 years
Pay Band - `15,600-39,100/- (PB-3) with Grade Pay of `5,400/- on an
initial Band Pay of `21,000/- p.m.
Essential Qualification: (i) Masters degree in Psychology with 55% marks or
an equivalent degree with Clinical Psychology as a special subject. (ii) M.Phil in
Medical and Social Psychology. (iii) 2 years teaching / research / clinical
experience (for non Ph.D. candidates)
Desirable: (i) Publication in national and international journals.
(ii) A doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology.
2) Hindi Translator - 1 post (Unreserved General)
Age - Below 30 years
Pay Band - `9,300-34,800/- (PB-2) with Grade Pay of `4,200/- on an initial
Band Pay of `13,500/- p.m.
Essential qualification: (i) Atleast a II Class Masters degree in Hindi of
recognized University or equivalent. (ii) English as a subject at graduate level.
(iii) Certificate / Diploma in Hindi translation.
Desirable: Two years experience in translation from English to Hindi and
Vice-Versa.

Age - Below 30 years (relaxed upto 3 years)
Pay Band - `5,200-20,200/- (PB-1) with Grade Pay of `2,800/- on an initial
Band Pay of `11,360/- p.m.
Essential qualification: II Class B.Sc. Degree with Diploma in Electronics OR
M.Sc. (Electronics) or equivalent.
Desirable: Two years experience in servicing, maintenance and calibration of
electronic equipment.
Age Relaxation:
Age should not exceed the limit prescribed for each category of post as on the closing date of
receipt of application. Upper age limit is relaxable in respect of PWD (10 years) / In-service and
Ex-servicemen candidates as per GOI orders.
General Conditions / Information:
1. The posts carry usual allowances i.e., DA, HRA, and TA etc., as admissible to Central

Government employees stationed at Mysuru.

2. The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained through recognized Universities /
Institutions.
3. The period of experience in a discipline / area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted
after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualification prescribed for the
post.
4. Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate applications for each post
indicating the name of the post in each application applied for.
5. The prescribed Essential Qualifications are a bare minimum and mere possession of it, will not
entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received are
more in response to an advertisement, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to
interview all the candidates. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called
for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than
that of the minimum prescribed in the Advertisement. The candidates should, therefore,
furnish all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above the
minimum qualifications prescribed.
6. The Competent Authority has the right to accept or reject any or all the

application/s
without assigning any reasons.
7. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be
treated as a disqualification for the post.

8. The Competent Authority reserves right not to fill all or any of the posts mentioned in the
advertisement.

9. Interim enquiries will not be attended to.

non-refundable application fee of `400/- for General Category candidates and `100/- for

candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH Categories or by post enclosing application fee by way of DD

favouring Director, AIISH, Mysuru, payable at Mysuru. Women candidates are exempted from
payment of application fee.
Filled in downloaded Application Form from the web site should accompany the prescribed
application fee, otherwise the application will be rejected.
Filled in application forms in the prescribed format along with copies of Matriculation / SSLC /
Diploma / Degree /Provisional Degree Certificate (s) and Mark sheets for all the Semesters / Years,
Certificate of disability and other testimonials in support of experience etc. should be sent in a
