Facts
F1

Rotation of earth is in Uniform Speed

F2

Fan is rotating in Non Uniform Speed

F3

Needle of a clock is in Uniform Speed

Concept
C1
If a body in motion covers equal distance in equal intervals of time, the
body is said to have
Uniform Speed
C2
If a body in motion covers unequal distances in equal intervals of time,
the body is said to have Non Uniform Speed.
Learning Outcomes
Remembering
Enable the Pupil to recall the definitions and recognize facts
regarding Uniform speed and Non Uniform Speed for developing factual knowledge.

Understanding
Enable Pupil to interpret, exemplify and explain definitions
regarding Uniform speed and Non Uniform speed for developing conceptual
knowledge.
Applying
Enable Pupil to execute and implement text regarding
Uniform speed and Non Uniform speed for developing procedural knowledge.
Analyzing
Enable Pupil to differentiate and organize Uniform speed
and Non Uniform speed to developing conceptual knowledge.
Evaluating
Enable the students to prepare a report regarding Uniform
speed and Non Uniform speed that they observe in their surroundings by reflective
measures for developing Meta cognitive knowledge.
Creating
Enable the Pupil to plan and generalize and to recognize
Uniform speed and Non uniform speed for developing procedural as well as Meta
cognitive knowledge.

Class Room interaction procedure

Pupils Response

Introduction
Teacher entered in the class room by telling Good
morning. She made a friendly talk with the
students.
She begins her class. She checks the previous
knowledge of students. Then she teaches the topic
Uniform speed and Non Uniform speed.
Activity 1
Teacher shows a clock and asks to observe them.
Is the motion of needle in the clock changes in
intervals?
Is it in a uniform rotation?
So, Rotation of clock needle in uniform
Consolidation Rotation of clock needle is a
uniform motion
Activity 2
Teacher takes a bottle filled with water and asks
students to observe the experiment. Then teacher
put a hole in the up of the bottle and asks students
to observe the motion of the water drops.
Is it covers equal distance in equal interval of
time?
Then what can we say?
The motion of water drops is uniform in motion. So,
uniform motion or uniform speed is defined as the
when a body covers equal distance in equal
interval of time then that body has a uniform
motion
Consolidation when a body covers equal
distance is equal interval of time then that the
body has a Uniform speed.
Activity 3
Teacher rotates a fan and asks students
to observe the motion.
Is the rotation of fan is always uniform?
Is it covers equal distance in equal interval of
time?
So the rotation of fan is an example for non
uniform motion or speed, now can you define what
is non uniform speed.
Consolidation - When a body covers unequal
distance in equal interval of time then the body
has a non uniform speed.

Activity 4
Teacher gave an activity card to find
whether a body is in uniform motion or non
uniform motion
