Size of the industry
In the past several years, countries such as Chile, Espaa and Colombia have made market
research studies about the software industry in Peru to evaluate the factibility of investment and
growth.
For 2016, it is expected that software development reaches a value of $677 USD from the total
billing of technology around the glove; it is expected that this industry grows at a 9.2 % ratio per
year starting in 2015.
The software industry in Peru is one of the least developed in Latin America. In comparison with
Mexico or Brazil could be seen lagging and even nil. However, the Peruvian government with the
Peruvian Association of Software Producers (APESOFT) promote the creation and implementation
of such technologies; in the past two years, it has seen an average annual growth of 8.5%.1
According to data from the Chamber of Commerce of Lima, the 3.2% of GDP is spent on
information and communication technologies, of this percentaje 10% is related to software
development. In addition, sales of software in the country reached PEN$512 million in 2012,
approximately USD$156 million.2
Competition
For this business plan, we will focus only on companies that are considered competitive in Lima,
Peru. In the country there is a non-profit association that aims to promote the national software
industry; the Peruvian Association of Software Producers is made up of 65 members, of which 40
are offering services in Lima. Of the companies operating in Lima, the following are considered as a

Innovacin Tecnolgica)
This institution boost any actions and projects related to technology and science through all the
country with three main strategies:

13% was the growth in IT Industry between 2013 and 2014 in Per.the market about technology
which is most mature is services virtualization such as iCloud and its variants. Some business want
to but hardware in order to decrease their costs, but these kind of technology helps to reduce in 5%
the most common costs.
