Registration of Enrolled Students for the First Semester

2015/2016 at KU
Acting Dean of Admission and Registration at KU Dr. Adel Hussain Malallah announced that Registration
process of enrolled students for the First semester 2015/2016 begins from 15-27 June 2015, during
allocated dates for each student, adding that maximum units of registration are 14 units except for
students expected to graduate as they will be allowed to register in the remaining courses according to
the courses' regulation while other students will be allowed to register at a maximum number of
courses during add/ drop period according to allocated dates.
Registration Dates and The priority of registration
Dr. Malallah indicated that allocated dates will be assigned for each student. The Deanship of Admission
and Registration will send E-mails and SMS to students who registered their mobiles as part of their
university data in order to inform them of registration dates as students can also know the dates
through the Deanship's webpage:
http://registrar.ku.edu.kw

Dr. Malallah clarified that the priority of registration will be for students with special needs, students
expected to graduate on the First semester; excellent students with 3 points or higher GPA, and
students who passed 30 units or more, then the rest of students according to the passed units.

Cancelling registration of students who do not meet the conditions and


requirements of courses
Dr. Malallah added that registration of students that are not qualified for registration in courses and
their requirements will be cancelled, according to the results of the final exams for the current courses
of the summer semester on 23/7/2015, so as to allow students the opportunity to complete the
academic schedule during add/drop period for the first semester 2015/2016. Dr. Malallah added that
The Deanship will cancel waiting list courses on 23/7/2015, thus students should check their schedules
for the first semester on a regular basis especially before the cancellation of the waiting lists as they can
register in other courses via internet during add/drop period only.

Students expected to graduate on the first semester 2015/2016 and


reading course registration
The Acting Dean of Admission and Registration pointed out that the dates August 23rd - September 3rd ,
2015 are assigned for students expected to graduate on the first semester those who encounter a
problem during registration and were unable to register, should refer to the employees of the Records
Department at the Hall of Admission and Registration to complete their schedules as they can book an
appointment via Students' portal, nonetheless students should not depend on that period and should
try to complete their schedules on their own. He added that the period from August 23 September 3,
2015 is allocated for registering students in reading courses according to the established conditions.
Students wishing to register in reading courses should refer to Hall of Admission and Registration during
this period to review registration requirements of the desired reading courses.
Dr. Malallah urged students to check their schedules especially at the beginning of the first semester as
well as printout of it for reference if needed, wishing success for all students and the best of luck in their
academic studies.
