There are LOTS of nice food in Petaling Street and I am yet trying all the food because I
cant stuff all that in one day in my 5 litre stomach(well, I dont know if its 5 litre). If you
are staying around in Bukit Bintang or you just come here for a few days, make sure
you drop by this chinatown for their food. Lets have a look what they have here.

1. Claypot Loh Suh Fun, Chinatown Seng Kee

This claypot Loh Shu Fun is a funny name and I couldnt figure out why they name it
that way but they taste really good though. Thick gravy with an raw egg place in the
middle that will cooked when you mixed it together along with mince pork. So d&*%n
nice!

It is really hot as they cook in a claypot so you might want to wait a while to let it cool
down before you eat them. I always burn my mouth eating this because I dont have the
patience to wait when it smells so good infront of you.

What I hate eating beef noodle is they give me 3 really thin (like paper) beef slice and 2
really small beef balls. I hate that kind of beef noodle.
But in Shin Kee things got the other way round. You can choose to put whatever beef
you like such as tendon, stomach, leaf tripe, intestine and many more.

Roast Duck

You have to spot for a small little kiosk to get here. They opened up their first
restaurant in Kepong but the retired owner still visit the old kiosk every morning which
is now run by her daughter.

Perfectly roasted and well marinated. I am not sure what words should I use to
describe this and you have to try this yourself. By the way, they have been selling this in
the 40s.

Tender and succulent poached chicken along with dark soy sauce garnished with
spring onions. I really like it and I could swallow a whole chicken. No joke.
They open for only 4 hours daily, so make sure pay them a visit before they were
closed.

This restaurant is just located infront of Hong Leong Bank. Their thick and watery
Hokkien mee just makes my saliva keep coming. Plenty of crunchy lard were throw in
this hokkien mee and makes it even taste better.
They have been around for more than 60 years and we were so lucky that this hokkien
mee recipe was passed down to their third generation. I believe we lost many great
food in Malaysia as many recipe were lost in generation.
They still cook with charcoal so they are plenty of wok hei in the hokkien mee.

This warm porridge is best served in the morning. They have been selling this
Cantonese porridge for over 60 years and now run by the third generation. It seems a
lot of stall/restaurant here is running by their third generation.

You should try their famous fish porridge which comes with a bowl of porridge and a
plate of finely sliced fresh raw fish where it cook itself when you dip the fish into your
porridge.

I love this snack. The deep fried sweet potato balls that is crispy from the outside and
fluffy inside. Grab a packet and enjoy it while you walk around.

I think there are other nice food you should try in Petaling Street as well. I should make
another trip and try it and keep you updated in this post. And not to forget to take
more pictures rather then using other people pictures that I found on the web.
Have you decide which one you would go for? Share this post with your friend and
start planning.
