My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that our students are our future. Each student has the potential of
bringing something unique and special to the world. Teaching is an important
and honorable occupation that demands commitment. A teacher has the
great opportunity to be a positive impact on students lives everyday.
As a dedicated teacher, I will strive to uphold the following:

Believe that all students have the ability to learn, expect all students to
learn and covey this expectation to individuals, and the class
community.
Establish high but not unreachable standards and provide support to
students to reach those standards.
Hold a positive regard for all students and ensure that respect is
maintained within the classroom at all times.
Learning should be interactive, engaging and creative.
Ensure my students are actively engaged in learning experiences that
deals with issues that they respect as important in their lives.
Provide specific and meaningful positive feedback and encouragement
to my students, as it is important to me that my students build their
confidence and develop intrinsic motivation.
The classroom creates a community of leaners, working together that
includes the students, teachers, and parents.
The classroom community allows for effective communication between
all members involved.
The classroom should be safe, inviting and stimulating environment.
Teachers should collaborate with colleagues to ensure all students
needs are being met.
Continually reflect on my practice and demonstrate my commitment to
lifelong learning by seeking out appropriate collegial support and
furthering my own professional development.
Hold myself accountable to high standards of performance and
continually seek improvement in present and future performance.
Works as part of a team with my colleagues and sharing my knowledge
and skills whenever possible to make a difference in my school
community.

As a teacher, I aim to create an atmosphere that encourages curiosity and

sheer determination. My classroom will be a place where students feel
important, respected, cared for and believed in. I am a teacher who makes it
possible for her students to reach their full potential, give and receive
feedback, learn from their mistakes, ask questions, create and they their
best. In my classroom, each student can make a difference in this world and

real world problems are solved. Together, we celebrate each others success
and inspire each other to be the best person that we can be.
