GUIDE LINES FOR PROJECT WORK

The students of PGPM should follow the guidelines given below


very strictly for the evaluation of their project work.

1. Selection of the problem for project work is to be done either


in consultation with their teachers or company authorities.

2. They should submit 2 hard bound copies of project work to


their teacher guides by 15th July.

3. They should discuss the progress of their work with their


teacher guides personally/through telephone/net at least
once in a week.

4. They should produce certificates of regular attendance at


the respective companies from 22nd April to 2nd June to gain
eligibility for the evaluation of their project work.

PROJECT REPORT FORMAT (AT THE END OF I YEAR)

The first year PGPM students are to involve themselves in a project work of
six weeks duration in any corporation.

It’s main objectives is to facilitate widest possible exposure to varied


managerial functions in order to widen their mental and logical horizons.
They had better opt for the Headquarters of the concerned company, and a
franchisee or dealership company should be chosen in the last resort.

Contents of the project work:

1. Study of the industry

a. Historical background

b. Current scenario

c. Industry analysis (Porters’ 5 force model)

2. Company Study

a. Company profile (history, ownership pattern, vision, mission and


objectives)

b. Organizational structure and its analysis


c. Study of functional departments

d. The latest audited report

3. SWOT Analysis

4. Finding and Recommendations of the Students

5. Learning Experience

6. The Students is to select a problem from a chosen department (based


on specialization) and analyze the problem using research
methodology and offer suggestions

7. Annexure ( any self explanatory aspect)
