October 18, 2009 – Crime Prevention Specialist – Organizes, coordinates, and supports Crime
Present Prevention activities; monitors and provides crime information and statistics
to management, sworn staff, and the public; develops, prepares and presents
training on crime prevention techniques to promote community and business
awareness; develops, prepares, maintains and distributes crime prevention
related literature and educational material; organizes and conduct crime
prevention meetings, seminars and special events; attends and participates in
local and regional meetings and presents the Sheriff’s Office at various
community functions; and acts as a liaison to and interacts with various
police agencies, volunteer groups, and risk managements and insurance
agencies to keep current on crime prevention activities, laws and trends.

January 2009 – Patrol Transportation Unit – Control, cuff, searched and secured individuals
October 2009 who were recently taken into custody and then transport them to the local
County jail. Assisted patrol units to routine and emergency calls for service.
Conducted field interviews reports, reported unsafe road conditions,
directed traffic flow when required.

July 2007 – Bailiff (Court Security) - Ensured the order and security with the
January 2009 Courtroom to include the protection of the Judges, Magistrates,
Court personnel, attorneys and jurors. Conducted metal and x-ray
detection of individuals and materials before entering the courthouse.
Unlocked and checked courtrooms. Copied and post daily case
schedules. Open court and informed Judge court is ready. Advised
Court personnel and attorneys when verdicts were reached. Escort
defendants to and from the Courtroom. Collected evidence from juries.
Took custody of sentenced or arrested persons from the Courtroom and
walked them to County jail as needed.

July 1998 – School Resource Officer – Assigned to a school on a long – term basis.
July 2007 Performed three major roles as a law enforcement officer, law- related
counselor and law related educator. Worked in collaboration with the
school and the community as a resource for and safety and security issues.
Assisted the school administration in maintaining a safe and secure
environment. Educated the students, parents and staff on different
law related subjects. Provided a highly visible presence to deter or
identify trespassers on campus. Provided services to the surrounding
community by addressing concerns and or complaints such as loitering,
speeding, loud car radio and any petit theft issues involving students.
Investigated violations of criminal law on campus and when appropriate

standards and used good judgment and discretion.

July 1996 – Field Training Officer – Responsible for the training of probationary
July 1998 deputies. Taught the trainee the policies and procedures of the agency
and how to correctly apply the concepts learned in the classroom to
field operations by honestly evaluating the trainee on his/her ability to
perform as a deputy under real life interactions with the public; criminals;
the criminal justice systems and his/her performance in a crisis situation.

January 1994 – Patrol Operations Bureau – First responder to routine and emergency calls
July 1998 for assistance such as: burglaries, robberies, assaults, rapes, homicides, etc.
Conducted preliminary and/or detailed investigations of the commission
of a crime or law violation. Gathered physical evidence, preserved for
court, and conducted follow-ups as need for the apprehension and
arrest of suspects. Served warrants, issued summons and other legal
processes. Enforced traffic laws, reported unsafe road conditions and
directed traffic flow when required.

January 1994 – Deputy Recruit – Assigned to the Field Training Program for the purpose
May 1994 of learning rules and regulations, techniques and operational methods of
the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
