The purpose of the selection trial is to determine their shooting potential.
The selection trial consists of 2 stages:
1) Interview: This involves a 'one to one' interview session conducted by the teachers to access
student's interest and suitability for the sport.

Shooting trial : This consists of assessments in technical handling, shooting posture and grouping
of shots

Audition Requirement and Assessment for Drama


Students will be required to come to auditions with a prepared piece of prose, play/scene or poem and
perform a dramatic reading and interpretation of it.
They will be assessed in voice projection, articulation, ability to interpret character, depiction of nuances
of speech and emotion. This will be followed by an interview conducted which will assess their passion
and interest in drama and also include a discussion on their interest in the technical aspects of drama
production i.e. script writing, lighting, sound, stage set design, to explore the possibilities of further
developing their interest in the craft.
Audition Requirement and Assessment for Debates & Public Speaking
Students will be required to come to auditions with a prepared speech (1 minute) on one topic.
Students will also be given an impromptu topic to speak on during the auditions. They may also be
required to discuss any points of interest with the auditioner/s.
They will be assessed on Style, which will include voice projection, articulation, clarity and
expression. They will also be assessed on Content, which will include their knowledge of current affairs,
the nature of their arguments and how they express their opinions.

The student has preferably participated in primary school competitions (eg. Zonal/National
Competitions).
The student could include a letter of recommendation from the primary school CCA teacher incharge and/or coach. (Optional)

Secondary One (S1) Posting Exercise


Annual S1 Posting Exercise, conducted by the Ministry of Education (MOE) to post Primary Six (P6)
students who have passed their Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) to secondary school based
on their PSLE results and their school choices.
Participants of this exercise
All P6 student who passed the PSLE except to those who have been successfully allocated to a
secondary school place via the Direct School Admissions Secondary (DAS-Sec) Exercise.

S1 Posting Exercise Stages


1) S1 Option Phase
This phase is for parents to submit their childs S1 options and/or secondary school choices after the
release of the PSLE results
2) School Posting Phase
This phase is for the posting of students to secondary schools taking into consideration their PSLE
results, choices of schools and available vacancies.
3) Posting Results Release
This phase is for the release of the school posting results. Students are to report to their posted
secondary schools on the next working day after the release of the posting results.
