As I went to post office I was amazed by its architectural structure, a
Neoclassical Architecture. It was fasinating, and its makes me more excited to the tour. At first while waiting for our tour guide every one of us has a camera and taking pictures at the lobby of the post office. While taking pictures, the historical marker of the PHLPost caught my attention. The marker indicate the history of the PHLPost, when it built and who built it. After a minute of waiting our tour guide; Ms. Zenaida Trambulo came. Before the tour Ms. Zenaida brief us about the PHLPost by a powerpoint presentation. She discusses the history of PHLPost and the different places in PHLPost. I learned that the Philippine postal system has a history spanning over 250 years. The first post office was established in the city of Manila in 1767. The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) provides efficient, competitive and on-time delivery of communications, goods, and payment services in any Filipino community. After the discussion its tour time! First we tour at the Mail Service. Where all the mails or letters are proccessed. It is so big, a lot of letters and a lot of employees. We have interviewed some of the employees. We ask questions like how that machine works. They also explain how they process the letter. First is they Recieve the letter from different people and company. Second, is the Primary Sorting. They sort the letters based to the destination, that comes from different places. Third is the Franking where they put the postage by post machine. Then the last is the Final Sorting. I learned that their job is not easy. But I still admired them because I saw they still love their job. After at the mail service,we went to the place where the stamps collectibles are placed. I was amazed by the different stamps that are so beautiful. I bought one of the stamps as a remambrance. Some of my classmate buy but other have not. We also take pictures with the stamps. I also take picture with myself buying stamps. I am happy that I bought one. After at the stamps we went at the delivery section where we see the Cartero. We take picture with the cartero. The cartero or the mail man is the one who deliver the mails or letters to their destination. I admired them because despite of the places that are too far they still deliver the mails to the people. Then that is the last place in PHLPost we have tour. At the tour I learned a lot. Like the process of the mailing service. How their different modern machine works. The process of the letter before it deliver. And many other things. The tour is very memorable for me. I have meet great people. I collect a stamp. Before I don't know what is PHLPost is but now I really know
what is PHLPost. That's why I can say that the tour was very worth it.
