CHAPTER III

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This chapter deals with the locale of the study, research design, population and
sampling, data gathering instrument, data gathering procedure and the statistical
treatment to data used in the accomplishment of this research study.

Locale of the Study


This study will be conducted among the three(3) Funeral Parlors naming
Crystal Funeral Parlor, Ating Kooperatiba Funeral Parlor located at Brgy. Poblacion and
St. Peter Funeral Home at Brgy. Munting Parang Tagkawayan, Quezon.

Research Design
The descriptive-evaluative research design will be used in this study.
Descriptive research involves collection of data in order to test hypothesis to answer
questions concerning the current status of the subject of the study.
This study described the demographic profile of the respondents and their
customers satisfaction towards the services offered by the Funeral Parlors. Evaluated the
significant relationship between the services offered by the Funeral Homes and
customers satisfaction.

Population and Sampling


The number of sample-respondents of this study will be fifty (50) customers of
each firm with the total of One-hundred and Fifty (150) out of thousands of
members/customers of the Funeral Parlors in Tagkawayan, Quezon.

Research Instrumentation
In this study will use structured questionnaires in conducting an interview with
the management staff and a survey with the selected customers of Funeral Parlors in
Tagkawayan, Quezon. Secondary data were collected through the use of books,
encyclopedias and unpublished materials related to this study.

Data Gathering Procedure


Before conducting the actual data gathering procedure, the researcher will
secure permission from the owners/managers of different Funeral Parlors. All
informations will be gathered by the researcher through the use of the self-made
questionnaire which will include servicing, pricing, promoting, placement and personnel
job performance.

Statistical Treatment
The data in this study will be treated using the following statistical tools:
1. Frequency and percentage distribution will be used to determine the profile
of the respondents.

2. Weighted mean will be used to determine the Customers Satisfaction
