GENERAL CLASS POLICIES

1.

Minimum requirements for the course: (a) 4 long exams, (b) Seatwork, assignments, recitations,
quizzes (SARQ), (c) Final exam (with exemption option).

2.

b) A student may officially drop from the course on or before the last day of dropping.

A student

is considered to have officially dropped the course upon submission of the instructor s copy of
the dropping slip to the instructor.
c) A student whose class standing is failing and who does not take the final exam will be given a
grade of 5.0 if he/she does not officially drop the course on or before the last day of dropping.
3.

Criteria for computation of grades:

a) Pre-final Grade = Average of Long Exams and SARQ
b) Final Grade

= 70% Pre-final Grade + 30% Final Exam
