History
Rimac Automobili, an automobile manufacturing company
established in 2009 in Zagreb, Croatia, grew out of its
founder Mate Rimac's garage hobby.[5] The company's
primary objective was to build an electric supercar,[5]
starting, as Rimac put it, "with a blank sheet of paper".[6]
Since electric systems for high-performance electric cars
were not available on the market, Rimac developed the
parts themselves, and Concept One includes 24 patented
innovations.[3]

The car was introduced on the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, and also shown on 2012 Paris Concours
d'Elegance, where it received positive results.
The first car was delivered to an unnamed Spanish customer in January 2013.[10]
Specifications
With a total output of 811 kW (1,088 hp)[11] and 1,600 Nm (1,200 lbfft) of torque, the Concept One will
sprint from 097 km/h (060 mph) in only 2.8 seconds and will come with an electronically limited top speed of
304 km/h (189 mph).[9] Each wheel is powered by a separate liquid-cooled permanent magnet electric motor
and controlled by the so-called "All Wheel Torque Vectoring System" that distributes the power to the wheels in
accordance with user setup and driving conditions.[11][12] Also, the car has the ability to switch the power from
front-wheel to rear-wheel drive, the first car with that ability.
The motors are powered by a 91 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery,[2] giving the car a range of 500 km
(310 mi) per charge.[6] The car's body is made of carbon fiber.[9] The interior features custom leatherwork and
hand-made dashboard components.[9][13]
