Background:

TopIndonesianstudentsinComputerSciencearehavingahardtimetopassPhDadmissionintopresearch
universitiesintheUnitedStates.Althoughtheyarebrilliant,theirapplicationsarenotatthetopofthepile.One
issueisthatIndonesianstudentslackinternationalrefereedpublications,whilemanyotherinternationalstudentsare

wellpreparedinthisregard(mostofthemhave13toptierpublications).Performinggreatresearchhowever
requireshugetimecommitmentfromstudents.

Therefore,thegoalofthiscollaborationistogiveopportunitiestotopIndonesianstudentstogaindeepresearch
skillsandcreatepublications.Thestudentswillperformresearchunderthesupervisionofresearchactiveprofessors

AlmostallPhDstudentsintop50CSdepartmentsintheworldareautomaticallyandfullysupportedbythe
department.
Inshort,PhDinComputerScienceinUSistypically

studentsarenottoosuccessfulinpassingthePhDadmissionprocessoftopCSdepartmentsbecausetheyhave
