1. This activity is entitled NSTP CWTS 1 - Personal Solidarity Immersion Activity. This activity aims
to provide Louisian students enrolled in NSTP the guided experience and understanding of the
civic concerns of others and in the hope that Louisians will continue to learn how to interact
and respond properly therein. Herein, the student concretely experiences the missionary
service virtues of compassion and relevant involvement as good samaritans of the current
generation.
2. This is a required activity strategized in the course syllabus of the subject NSTPCWTS 1.
3. Students will choose and perform a legitimate work routine normally being performed by
others in the community. The work nature must be interactive where students will actually
experience interacting with different kinds of individuals or personalities. The work must be a
legal, ethical, and safe routine geared towards livelihood. For instance: a student who chooses
a vendor must assume the routine of vending, a student who chooses to be a gardener must
really garden, etc...
4. Students shall undergo the immersion for a minimum total hours of eigth (8) hours, continuous
or on staggered basis.
5. The activity must not be a usual routine that the student has been exposed to already.
However for working students, you can avail of your usual workplace as your immersion should
you prefer
6. The venue of the activity may either be in the campus or outside the campus, anywhere with
in Baguio and La trinidad. Specific location will be approved by the instructor.
7. The earliest hour of the day to start the activity must be 8am and the latest hour to dismis is
5pm. Outside of this time, no one is allowed to start or extend activity. Otherwise, further
approval of the NSTP Coordinator is required.
8. The immersion may be by class grouping or at least by twos. NO INDIVIDUAL IMMERSION IS
ALLOWED.
9. Proceed to your immersion only when approved by both your Instructor and your authorized
guardian. Hence, scout for your activity then secure approval to determine whether the activity
is feasible or not. Otherwise, continue to scout until your chosen activity is approved.
10. The activity must start immediately after the approval. It must end on or before the date your
instructor will give you. Date of submission of written activity outputs to your respective
Instructor will also be announced by your instructor.
11. Three NSTP class hours or meeting will be declared no class meeting by your instructor to
offset some of the hours you will use for your immersion.
12. During the work exposure, students must be in their NSTP Tshirt uniform.
13. Students must accomplish a daily time record where activity time started and time ended must
be written and counter signed by the host partner. Inquire from your Instructor who is the
authorized partner signatory.
14. Picture-document your activities. Picture before, during, and after the activity.
15. You will be asked to initially submit a hand written narrative journal (similar to your regular
journal entry), a picture documentation (3-5 pictures) of your immersion, and the copy of this
PGF, after your activity. Additional processing requirements will be given to you by your
instructing during the experience process in the classroom.
16. During the activity, primarily ensure your personal safety. Always secure your belongings. You
must always have with you the contact numbers of people who could help you in times of

emergency. Always have accessible contact numbers of the following entities who are near or
close to your apostolate area: police, hospital, emergency medical services units like Red
Cross, activity host or parties, Supervising Instructor, NSTP Coordinator or other persons who

17. In case of emergency, stop any ongoing activity and immediately secure yourself and contact
the persons or entities specified above. To be sure, contact first the most accessible entity or
person then the rest of them. If the SI is in the vicinity, you can coordinate first with him/her.
18. Bring your own umbrella or rain coat for protection. Bring your personal snacks and drinking
water with you.
19. Properly accomplish this PGF. This will also serve as your guardian consent-waiver. Present this
PGF properly accomplished to your respective Instructor on or before you start your immersion.
Your instructor will check and record your proper accomplishment of the PGF then returns to
you for your guide until the activity ends. You must always bring with you this PGF during your
immersion. But be extra careful not to lost it. After the immersion, submit this PGF to your
instructor. You participate only with parental/guardians CONSENT properly accomplished.
Strictly NO WAIVER, NO ACTIVITY. Make sure that the AUTHORIZED SIGNATORY IS THE ONE
WHO SIGNS YOUR WAIVER. Non-compliance would mean cancellation of your
attendance on the said activity with corresponding demerits.
20. No bringing of buddies or anyone not approved by the NSTP Instructor.
21. Read very well, familiarize yourself and follow the provision in this PGF-waiver.
22. For the INSTRUCTOR:
a. Diligently guide the students in accordance with prudence and as per rules and
regulations of the University
governing off-campus activities and the conduct of
students outside school;
b. Strictly and diligently assess and control or intervene potential risks so that only
activities, schedules, or venues with out risks will be pursued.
c. Orients students on activity guidelines or instructions before the activity proper;
d. Responsible only for the consequence due to negligence on this part;
e. Not liable for any untoward incident due to:
1. Violation of activity rules and regulations or instructions;
2. Negligence on the part of the student;
3. Unforeseen events by nature;
4. Accidents beyond control;
5. His absence, that is not within the period covered;
6. Force majure, including civil disturbance or riots; and
7. Assumption of risk by the student/s.
23. To ensure success of the activity and the safety of students, student activities are governed by
school rules and regulations.
24. Students are required to observe and follow the policies, rules and regulation of the University
as stated in the student handbook regarding a bonifide Louisian and his/her conduct and
behavior.
25. Students are also required to observe and follow regulations and instructions imposed by the
instructor and other authorities before and/or during the activity as waranted.
26. Students are remided that they are responsible for any act or untoward incident if the cause is:
a. due to negligence on their part;
b. violation of rules and regulations or instructions;
c. not covered by the period defined under the Instructors duties and responsibilities.
27. Follow strictly the items specified above. If at least any of the items is not complied with, you
are not allowed to join the activity.
