REFLECTION: The angels sang this chorus. What song surmises your view of
God? Think about and then sing that song or listen to it.
PRAYER: Awesome God to you, I sing my prayer to you.
TUESDAY: Isaiah 6:1-8 Confession
REFLECTION: Standing before a holy, majestic God, we become clear of our
sin, lack or need.
PRAYER: Offer up your confession to God, knowing that God hears us and
does not condemn us; rather, he sets us free.
WEDNESDAY: Isaiah 6:1-8 Im here
REFLECTION: Being available. Being willing. Saying here I am Lord!
PRAYER: Im speaking up, Lord. How do you desire to use me? Speak in me
the words you want to share with others. Im here!

THURSDAY: Luke 2:8-18 The unsuspecting

REFLECTION: The shepherds did not expect to hear good news that night.
They were unsuspecting people who worked the graveyard shift. How do you
handle unexpected news? What does it feel like to be the unsuspecting person?
PRAYER: God, you choose unsuspecting people to bring unexpected good
news. May my eyes be open to see the unexpected this week. I dont want
to miss you.

Scripture: Isaiah 6:1-8 (NRSV)

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and
lofty; and the hem of his robe filled the temple. Seraphs were in attendance
above him; each had six wings: with two they covered their faces, and with
two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. And one called to another
and said:
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory.
The pivots on the thresholds shook at the voices of those who called, and the
house filled with smoke. And I said: Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of
unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips; yet my eyes have seen
the King, the Lord of hosts!
Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding a live coal that had been taken
from the altar with a pair of tongs. The seraph touched my mouth with it and
said: Now that this has touched your lips, your guilt has departed and your sin
is blotted out. Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send,
and who will go for us? And I said, Here am I; send me!

My Notes:

FRIDAY: Luke 2:8-18 Jesus sent to reconcile

REFLECTION: Why did Jesus come? He came to restore us, to reconcile brokenness
in spirit and distance from the holy God. This is good news of great joy!
PRAYER: God, I celebrate you coming to us to bring peace that pieces us
back together again.
SATURDAY: Luke 2:8-18 For all
REFLECTION: Jesus came and was sent for all, for us all, for all of us! The sent
life of Jesus is one were called to live as well. Where is God sending you?
PRAYER: This season, make it clearer to me where you are sending me to
bring peace through your love and power. Who am I called to serve? In what
area of town is my service needed? (Spend time in silence).
