ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
First of all, I would like to say thank you to God Almighty for
giving me the strength and good health to be able to do this project.
Secondly, not forgetting my family especially my parents in
providing money to buy anything related to this project and their
advises. My whole family supported and encouraged me a lot.
Then, I would like to thank my teacher, Puan Dayang Intan Binti
Awang Saperi for guiding me and my friends throughout this project.
Even we had some difficulties, we managed to complete it with the
teachers help.
Last but not least, my friends who were doing this project with
me and shared all the informations. They were helpful and finally we
made it.

OBJECTIVE

The objectives of doing this Additional Mathematics project are

mainly:
a) To ensure students will be able to identify the triangle.
b) To ensure students can identify the method used to calculate the
area of triangle.
c) To ensure students can study and analyse the relation between
area and length of triangle.

TRIANGLES

A triangle is the simplest polygon. It has three sides and three angles.
The sum of the three angles of triangle is equal to

180

TYPES OF TRIANGLES
There are three types of triangles. They are scalene triangles, isosceles
triangles and equilateral triangles. A scalene triangle is a triangle
where all 3 sides have different lengths. An isosceles triangle is a
triangle with 2 same length sides. Equilateral triangle is a triangle
where all 3 sides have the same length.
There are three types of angles that can be found in triangles. An
acute triangle is a triangle where all 3 angles are acute(less than

900

). A right angled triangle is a triangle where one of the angles is

90

An obtuse triangle is a triangle where it has one angle that is greater

than

90

and less than

180

COMPARE THE 2 GRAPHS OBTAINED AND MAKE

CONCLUSION

Graph of Area(A) against length (x) shows an exponential

graph while the graph of Area (A) against x shows a linear graph.
This shows that when the Area of graph increases the value of the
length square increases proportionally. The basic property of
exponentials is that they change by a given proportion over a set
interval. In this case, the length of sides has changed by a constant
proportion as the changes due to the 3 sided of triangle.

DISCUSS AND COMPARE THE DATA OF AND .

The value of
shows the almost similar value which is 0.43 while
the
shows a constant increase in the value. This is due to the
formula cracked earlier in Part 2(b). the formula of area is A =
, thus when we divide by x, the value left is
43, while when we divide by x, we will get

3
4

3 x
4

3 x

which is equal to 0.
, where all the

resulting values are 0.43 multiply by the value of x.

Conclusion : Approximately 5250 number of triangles needed to form

a traditional blanket as per the formula above.

POLYGONS
Polygon is traditionally a plane figure that is bounded by a
finite chain of straight line segments closing in a loop to form a closed
chain or circuit. These segments are called its edges or sides and the
points where two edges or sides and the points where two edges meet
are the polygons vertices or corners.

POLYGON SHAPES

REFLECTION
While I conducted this project, I was exposed to plenty
information. I basically found that triangles appear in our daily life.
By doing this folio, indirectly I was encouraged to work hard
to complete the task given. I also work together with my friends to
succeed in completing the task. I began to be more responsible in
being in charge of every single thing I do. I became more confident
throughout this project because I believe we can make things happen
if we believe. Trustworthiness is the key of life. My feelings during
doing this project goes like the song:
I might seem crazy what Im about to say. Sunshine shes here, you
can take a break. Im a hot air balloon that could go to space, with the
air, like I dont care baby by the way. Because Im HAPPY! Clap
along if you feel like a room without roof. Because Im HAPPY! Clap
along if you feel like happiness is the truth.
Last but not least, I found it that doing projects are really good
for us in many ways. I hope I can learn more about Additional
Mathematics and perform well in that subject.
