46th verse of Surat al Maidah: And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him. We sent him the Gospel. In it was guidance & light, & confirmation of the Law that came before him: a guidance & admonition to those who fear Allah (Surat al Maidah, 5:46). Jesus taught this Gospel to the Jews in Palestine. However, he didnt do this alone. He had disciples with him, who were the few Jews who accepted his message. Most Jews disbelieved, & the Quran states that Allah aided Jesus disciples (who are considered Muslims), promising that theyd be superior over the unbelievers until the Day of Resurrection: When Jesus found unbelief on their part he said: Wholl be my helpers in the work of Allah? The Disciples said: Were Allah's helpers. We believe in Allah & testify that were Muslims. Our Lord, we believe in what youve revealed, & we follow the Apostle; then write us down among those who testify.... Allah said: O Jesus! Ill take you & raise you to myself & clear you of the falsehoods of those who blaspheme. Ill make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve til the Day of
Resurrection. Then youll all
return unto me, & Ill judge between you on the matters you dispute (Surat Al Imran, 3:52-53,55).
over the unbelievers, nullifying the
Qurans word.
O you who believe! Be helpers
of Allah. As Jesus the son of Mary said to the Disciples, Wholl be my helpers in the work of Allah? The disciples said, Were Allah's helpers! then a portion of the Children of Israel believed, & a portion disbelieved, but we gave power to those who believed against their enemies, & they prevailed (Surat as Saff, 61:14). Also, the Quran states that when the Jews plotted to kill Jesus, Allah prevented them, but made it seem like they succeeded. This is found in Surat an Nisa: They said, We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Apostle of Allah. But they didnt kill him nor crucified him, but it was made to seem so to them, & those who differ on it are full of doubts, without knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for surely they didnt kill him (Surat an Nisa, 4:157). This raises questions: Were the disciples tricked into believing that he died? Surely they werent, or theyd be no better than unbelievers. Where, then, did their message go? You may say it was lost or corrupted, but this means the disciples werent aided by Allah or made superior
Another problem is the fact that the
Christian New Testament claims to be the eyewitness accounts of these disciples. Consider these verses: This is the disciple who testifies to these things & who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true (John 21:24). We didn't follow cleverly devised myths when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
When he received honor and
glory from God the Father, the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased, We ourselves heard this voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain (2 Peter 1:16-18).
life. God didnt send his Son
into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever doesn't believe is condemned already because he hasn't believed in the name of the only Son of God (John 3:1618).
That which was from the
beginning, which weve heard, which weve seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and our hands touched, concerning the Word of life. The life appeared; weve seen it & testify to it & proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father & has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what weve seen and heard, so that you too may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father & with his Son, Jesus Christ. (1 John 1:1-3).
Are these words true? How do you
explain them if not? If you dont regard these words as reliable, then you must say that either the words were changed or unbelievers were able to pass off their writings as if the disciples wrote them. But then we are back in the same dilemma: The unbelievers became superior over the disciples, nullifying the Qurans claim that Allah is on the side of the disciples.
The New Testament testifies many
times that Jesus died & rose again after three days, so that by his life, death & resurrection, all who trust in him will have forgiveness of sins & eternal life: The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, & give his life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45). God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal
But if these words are true, then you
can't dismiss them, but must submit to their authority & believe their message to be accepted by Allah in the hereafter.

If youre in doubt as to what
Weve revealed to you, ask those whove been reading the Book from before you. The Truth has indeed come to you from your Lord, so dont be of those in doubt. Nor be of those who reject the signs of Allah, or youll be of those who perish. Surat Yunus, 10:94-95
