Preventive Measures
All power points and pressure vessels must be kept outside the confined space.
The attendant must handover his charge to another attendant in case he needs to be
excused from his position failing which; he must ensure that all entrants are
evacuated before the attendants leaves his position.
All entry points must be kept free from obstacles, and slip hazards.
Work must be done using the optimum man power.
First aid facilities must be kept handy.
Evacuation procedure must be explained to and understood by all involved in the
work process
Effort must be taken to separate the entry point for all electrical power/welding
cables.
Proper housekeeping must be maintained at all times to ensure optimum cleanliness
in the working zone.
