4.2 Self Knowlege-Who am I?
The Goal of this session is to help Quinceaeras reflect on their Christian identity:
Disciples of the Lord, baptized in his dying and rising, and called to serve Christ in
others.

present to gain a deeper respect for women.

Collect ads from magazines, internet, newspaper and song lyrics. Use these to discuss the
messages our culture offers about women. Write the messages on newsprint for all to see,
and then evaluate.
Ask: Who are some woman role models in our socity?
7:45 Illumination: A New Focus: pp. 42-45:
7:55:Commitment: My personal Resolutions: With recorded music in the background, participants
are given time to write their own responses to the questions on pp. 46-47. The participants
should be advised that their responses will be used in todays closing prayer
8:10Gather in Church for closing prayer before the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe
(The consecration prayer on pp. 44-45 will be used for todays Closing Prayer in Church,
which will also touch open the Quinceaera gifts: pp. 48-49, or these may be given as
homework.
8:15 Final Prayer and Dismissal

This session studies the Beatitudes as a basis for living the Christian Life
