RACK 1 (SMALL) or Small

- The RACK S module (formerly known as RACK 1) mainly consists of a plastic frame The plastic frame receives all the parts for attaching the power supply board, the
fans, the battery and the mains power connector, and everything. -There is no
backplane board: the metric connectors are on the power supply module. -19" rack
modules which can be mounted in a rack or placed on a shelf - it has 3 slots 1 for CPU
& 2 for card interfaces

- The frame consists of a "U"-shaped sheath closed on the top by a riveted plate The boards are guided by 2 rails for RACK M (formerly known as RACK 2), or 3 rails
for RACK L (formerly known as RACK 3), riveted vertically to the frame.

-The enclosure consists of a metal top part, two metal side parts and a plastic front face
Access to the fans, the power supply module and the batteries is gained by
disconnecting the power cable and unscrewing the backplane.
-IIt has 6 Slots 1 for CPU & 5 for card interfaces

CPU Overview & Migration History


The CPU-1 board is based on the new tracking of the ASPEN CPU board and has the
following characteristics: 133 MHz processor, 32 MB NAND Flash, 64 MB SDRAM, DSP
5410.
The CPU-2 board has the same main characteristics as the CPU-1 board, except that the
32 MB NAND Flash memory is replaced by a 64 MB NAND Flash memory.
The CPU-3 board has the following characteristics: 133 MHz processor, 128 MB
NAND Flash, 64 MB SDRAM.
The CPU-3m board is fitted with a 133 MHz processor, a 128 MB NAND Flash memory
and 64 MB of SDRAM.
The CPU-4 board is fitted with a 133 MHz processor, a 128 MB NAND Flash memory
and 128 MB of SDRAM.

The CPU-1/CPU-2/CPU-3/CPU-3m/CPU-4 boards can be equipped with the following


daughter boards:
HSL (High Speed Link): module interconnections. This daughter board is not
compatible with the Mini-Mix daughter board.
XMEM, XMEM-1, XMEM128-1 (eXpansion MEMory): memory extension. This
daughter board is not compatible with the VoIP daughter board.
This daughter board includes a 2.5" hard drive
connector: Use a flat cable to connect a PATA hard
disk
Use a P2SATA-AXV daughter board to connect a SATA hard disk
AFU, AFU-1 (Auxiliary Function Unit): supporting auxiliary functions such as general bell,
door-phone, audio In, audio Out, etc. The AFU-1 board is required for the connection of
the ISDN-EFM box (T0/S0 forwarding)
VoIP, VoIP-1 (Voice over IP): Gateway H.323 with integrated Gatekeeper function or
SIP Gateway. Supports management of CODECs and DSPs for IP telephony and IP

The Power CPU board, based on processor Power Quicc II Pro MPC8377
from Free scale, has the following characteristics:
-667 MHz processor, 256 MB DDR2 SDRAM, SD/MMC Memory card
(2GB), -VoIP DSP C6421/4 (16 VoIP channels).

The Power CPU board is built around 2 main blocks interconnected via
PCI:
-CPU part with MPC8377 processor and following interfaces:

-The Power MEX board is a controller board for extension or module expansion.
-The Power MEX board (POWER Module EXPANSION) performs the controller
functions in the expansion platforms.
-The Power MEX board is equipped with an HSL1 (High Speed Link) board
for interconnecting with the basic platform.
- The Power MEX board is connected to the MODULE 1 or MODULE 2 connector
on the Power CPU board

The BRA board The BRA (Basic Rate Access) board provides the basic access points (2 x
64-Kbps B-channels + 1 x 16-Kbps D-channel per access) for connecting the system to the
ISDN digital public network (point-to-point or multipoint T0 link)starting with version
R2.0,
to a private network (point-to-point DLT0 link); 3 versions are offered:

- BRA2: 2 T0 accesses
- BRA4: 4 T0 accesses
- BRA8: 8 T0 accesses

The PRA board (Primary Rate Access) board provides 1 primary access for connecting the
Alcatel-Lucent Omni-PCX Office Communication Server system to the ISDN digital public
network or to private networks.
Types:
PRA -T2, DASS2, DLT2: 30 x 64-Kpbs B-channels + 1 x 64-Kbps D-channel; 2048
Kbps PCM R2: 30 x 64 Kbps B-channels + 1 x 4 Kbps signaling channel; 2048 Kbps.

SLI - xx-1

The SLI, SLI-1 or SLI-2 board (Single Line) allows the connection of 2-wire
analog terminals (Z). 3 board versions are available:

UAI - xx-1

The UAI board allows the connection of digital stations (UA). The UAI-16 board
allows to remotely supply the terminals connected to the 16 interfaces from a EPS48
external power supply connected to interface 1 using an external adaptation power
cable (splitter).
Types:

capability: UAI4: 4 UA interfaces
UAI8: 8 UA interfaces
UAI16: 16 UA interfaces
- boards with external power supply

The AMIX-1 (Analog Mixed Line) board is used to connect the analog public
network (PSTN) to the PBX. It has the following characteristics:

The LAN X board (Ethernet LAN Switch) serves to connect Ethernet terminals (IEEE 802.3 compatible)

3 board versions are available:


- LanX8 = 810/100 BT Ethernet ports (ports 1 to 7: MDI-X/crossover; Uplink: MDI-II/straight link) LanX16 = 16 10/100 BT Ethernet ports (ports 1 to 15: MDI-X/crossover; Uplink: MDI-II/straight link) LANX16-1 = 16 10/100 BT Ethernet ports (ports 1 to 15: MDI-X/crossover; Uplink: MDI-II/straight link);
low consumption. Contrary to the LANX8 and LANX16 boards that are seen by the system as CPU
-boards,
Green LED (left) = link status and activity:
LED off: link disconnected
LED steady: link connected
LED flashing: link active Yellow LED (right) = speed:
off: low speed (10 or 100 Mb for Gigabit port, 10 Mb for the other ports)
on: high speed (1 Gb for Gigabit port, 100 Mb for the other ports)

Alcatel OMNI-PCX OFFICE - Can be configure easy. By Default the SYSTEM is already
pre-configured via the
ALCATEL Lucent. The OXO System has its General
Characteristic:
All CARDS / Modules are all HOT swappable (excluding CPU & MEX modules)
OXO automatically creates in the System Profile the cards/modules that are inplace at system usable slots.
Upon System Prep-up the PH version is loaded via LOLA tool or ex-factory configuration.
Used ONLY OMC tool for System configuration.

TELNET is not Support for OXO system.


Default IP address is 192.168.92.246/24
OXO System interface on configuration are via IP, V.24, & z modem
All System configuration/ CDB files are stored at OXO HD or NAND FLASH or can be
stored at your PC as CBD files for back-up purposes.

OMC overview - A thick client software proprietary to OXO systems, which can be use to
fully manage the OXO system. Install the package application on your PC, used Windows
platforms such as XP Pro, SP1, SP2, & SP3, MS Server 2003, SP1 & SP2, or WIN7 SP1.

OMC LEVELS - There are 3 OMC access to the OXO Systems:


- Operator Access
- Administrator Access
- Installer Access

OMC Passwords - Each Levels are protected w/ unique passwords. These password
can be change depending on your requirement. Below are the
default passwords:
- Operator Access = help1954 Administrator Access= kilo1987

Accessing the Main Menu

Assuming that PMC is logged-in successfully, the administrator should see the ff menus:

Subscriber - Use the this menu for modifying pre-programmed profiles of All Extensions.
GROUP - For modifying Operator Groups, Hunting Groups & Pickup groups. System - Basic
modifications for System Date & Time, Numbering Plans, System software key Common SD for Add/delete & edit of Company Speed Dials/ Directory & Class grouping External Access Displays the current setting for External lines & edits of trunk groups.

Int. No. = Display/edit the Internal Extension Number of an Extension for OXO

SET TYPES = Display only the Model or Phone type assigned to a


User. REST. = Display/modify barring setting of a User Extension
Accessible Trunk Groups = Display/edit/delete trunk group access code to a given
user/s Call Distributions = 2nd page under BASIC Subscriber Menu that display
information & routing status between external lines & subscribers. Distribution lists
may be display/edit/delete.
Rest/barring = A submenu of BASIC Subscriber Menu that contains number prefixes that
either to be allowed or restricted to the use of a user.

Advanced = A submenu of BASIC Subscriber Menu that re-direct the administrator to


the more deeper configuration for users extension.
Apply, OK, Cancel - for Validation or cancelation of any modification.
