Instrumental at establishing plastic injection mold tool design and part design in Mexico facility with 17
molding machines, 2 transfer molding machines, and high speed coil winding machines.

Sensor technologies include thick-film resistor materials, Silver-N-Glass encoders, and proprietary
non-contacting Hall Effect sensing.

Directed new product development and coordinated cost saving activity through design and

products, motion-to-strain, and thick film resistor materials.

Implemented a process to design, tool, and ship custom prototypes within six weeks.

MECHANICAL ENGINEER III

Responsible for the design and development of new sensor applications for occupant sensing, rollover
detection, inertial sensor for solenoid seat belt latching system, helium/nitrogen inflation canister leak
detection, and piazo-electric film pressure transducer.

Championed the move to insert molded accelerometer lead frames in connector terminals.

Part of a team that prototyped and evaluated the feasibility of automotive radar for forward, rearward,
and blind spot object detection. Total development cost for these three applications was $50 million.

PROGRAM MANAGER

Responsible for European airbag sensor design for BMW, Rover, and VW customers. Managed
accounts from prototype through production with up to $6.5 million program budgets.

Initiated new inter-connection designs for airbag sensors and encapsulation techniques that lowered
cost and increased productivity.
