Scandalously the TIO is making request for information that was already provided (see below)
and limits a response to 5 days. As such if a person is away from home and not aware of this
request then the TIO uses this so to say to likely railroad the complaint this even so I provided all
35 relevant information in the first place. I have never hidden the fact that English is not my native
language and I use my self-professed Crummy English but surely the level of intelligence by
anyone making questions about what is already provided may question if the TIO is fair dinkum
or merely designed to railroad complaints by employing someone who seems to have a lack of
understanding what was in considerable details explained?

40 I explained then that the mobile c all records shows no such call to have been made as alleged by
Vodafone staff. I exampled that my (then) 82 year old wife uses the mobile only to call me or for
emergencies if needed and no calls were made and no other person has access to the mobile
(Password locked to prevent unauthorised usage!). Also I had checked the email sent out and
no emails were sent out that day either.

As I understand it telecommunication companies are so to say getting a kick back from having
unwanted/unlawful/unsolicited calls/text messages made and so will cooperate with the callers

ISSUE: A legacy of incompetence of Malcolm Turnbull as Minister for Communication!


While Malcolm Turnbull as Minister for Communication the escalating fraud by
telecommunications companies seems to go on without Malcolm Turnbull seemingly doing
anything to stop it. On 9 October 2015 I contacted Vodafone as to a $6.60 call charge to which I
had no knowledge. I explained that the mobile was a special one used only by my wife for
emergencies. In the about 43 minutes conversation involving 3 different staff members in the end it
was claimed that the call was made and was recorded as such and well my wife simply must have
made some call to X factor or other company. I explained that my wife was in the 80sand only
used the mobile to text me and the last message she sent out was in 2013. It was made clear that I
would have to pay because the call was made on 11 September 2015. Also that I had not paid the
April 2015 bill and that too was outstanding. I indicated that I needed time to sort it out. After
checking Vodafone own shown records it shows the April Bill as being paid and yet the subsequent
May bill indicates it was not paid. What may have eventuated is that the April payment came in
after the may bill was issued, but Vodafone obviously has a problem to deal with that, as to correct
the May bill as such. After checking the mobile my wife uses I detected it had a text message on it
showing

checked
on
the
internet
and

been subjected to ongoing scams. While this only relates to Telstra on that weblink no doubt
Vodafone appears to be involved also and yet accused my wife to make a call because they had the
records of it. So, let them prove my wife made the call I say! As many others also indicated they
too are listed on the DO NOT CALL REGISTER (as I am with all mobiles), and yet still receive
the unsolicited calls/text messages and has to pay for it? You got to be joking! It must be clear that
where a telecommunication company provides a person with services and unbeknown to this person
allows special messages to be charges without the person being aware of this and neither having
requested to do so then I view this is an elaborate fraud perpetrated by the telecommunication
company. Yet, many commented that the TIO (Telecommunication Industry Ombudsman)
reportedly fails to act appropriately, as do local Members of Parliament. Where some persons
reported to have been scammed for hundreds of dollars and yet their telecommunication company
insisted they pay the bill because it was from a 3rd party charged, then one has to ask where the
telecommunication company receives part of this fraudulent charge then clearly it is a conspiracy
to commit fraud upon the relevant customer. And Malcolm Turnbull as the then Minister for
Telecommunication seemed to be more concerned how to organise knifing Tony Abbott then to do
the job he was being paid for. And if this is one of examples how he operate then well we better
out on our seatbelts as we will be in for a rough ride. The question obviously is why did Malcolm
Turnbull preside over this fraudulent conduct as Minister for Communication and let it go on? In

the meantime you all better check your phone and mobile charges say of the last 2
years for such unauthorised unsolicited charges!

How often have taxpayers paid for those kind of unsolicited calls to Members of Parliament, which
I view constitute defrauding the Commonwealth/state and the perpetrators must be held legally
accountable, including the telecommunication companies as well as the TIO failing to act
appropriately.

They go after pensioners regarding overpayment, dont they? Yet why not with this
kind of criminal conduct by telecommunication companies and their partners who
are charging?

Sir/Madam,
I keep receiving overdue notices regarding my mobile 0410592146 relating to
my previous WiFi broadband service even so this WiFi broadband service was cancelled
twice in person attending to Vodafone store (Preston and Greensborough as well as on 26
April 2015 I reported I requested Vodafone Northland to cancel my Wifi broadband
service to this mobile for the time being but was told to call 1511, but this automatic
system doesnt allow this.
The WiFi broadband service was engaged in at Greensborough store and I view that the
cancellation should have been passed on by this store when I attended to this store for this.
You will notice that the WiFi broadband service no longer was used since April!
I didnt like that I was slugged $2 invoice charge without having been aware of this for
billing of the WiFi broadband service at the time I engaged for the WiFi broadband service
system, this even so I was being billed for the mobile without billing charge. As such
Vodafone should having been advised of the cancellation of the WiFi broadband service
have reverted back to the original billing system.
I look forwards to your reply addressing the issues I raised.

As I did set out Vodafone doesnt provide an email address/text message to communicate about
any dispute over billings as to avoid customers to have records. By them using phone calls they
can always deny any email/text message received and deny the content of a phone call unless it
35 serves its purpose.
As I indicated there is a DO NOT CALL registration with the mobile and as such the scam
call/text message was violating this also, and as such it was in that regard also an unlawful call.
Yet Vodafone staff still persist that the unlawful text message has to be paid for pretending my
wife made the call, this while my 23-11-2015 proves it was a text message! Instead of asking for

but request for the same information already provided, yet places a 5 day working day deadline
on a response. What an utter and sheer nonsense!
