Group Members are required to bring their Identification Card( IC ) and also
Student Matrix Card during Competition.

Dance Competition Rules and Regulations

1) Each university may only submit one audition dance act (video) by 21th DECEMBER

2015. (Please do call the Program Director or Assistant Program Director to get more

details about audition dance act ).

2) If you want to submit a joint act with another university, you must clear it with our

committees first.
3) Audition tape must be of maximum 3 minutes only.
4) Upon submission, the public will be able to vote online to select their six finalists, with

audience votes contributing to 20% and judges votes contributing to 80%.

5) Voting for audition video will run for 1week from 21

DECEMBER 2015 till 23

DECEMBER 2015. Result will be announced on 24 DECEMBER 2015.

6) Maximum number of participants in a group is 8 people and the minimum number of
participants in a group is 6 people.
7) The team must consist of students with active ID.
8) There are two (2) rounds to compete :

round (NAVARASA ROUND )

Each group is required to choose their own genre (Example: comedy, anger,
horror) to compete for this round.

Marks will be based on your creativity, concept, props usage, stage usage and
also costumes.

Each university is only allowed to perform for a maximum of 6 minutes in

each act excluding set up time.

The acts will be penalized by deduction of points for over running their 6
minutes given time.

round (GHANA ROUND )

Groups are required to choose FOLK SONG / KUTHU SONG to compete

for this round.

Marks will be based on creativity, concept, props usage, stage usage and also
costumes

Each university is only allowed to perform for a maximum of 6 minutes in

each act excluding set up time.

The acts will be penalized by deduction of points for over running their 6
minutes given time.

1) No editing of song for the 1 round, but for the 2

round you are allowed to do

editing and the time limit for 2 round is 6 minutes.

2) RELIGIOUS PROP ARE NOT ALLOWED to be used during the act.
3) All props must be cleared with committee first at least one week prior to the show.
4) On arrival, all props will be checked by our committee to comply with health and

safety regulations.
5) If the venue does not permit the use of the prop, it will immediately be banned

from the act .

6) Any special lighting must be discussed and given in by 11 JANUARY 2016.

7) The required music must be provided by 11 JANUARY 2016. It has to be clearly

marked and labelled with the title and the track number .
8) Each group need to choose only Tamil movies song and STRICTLY NO
LOCAL SONGS. (Please do call the Program Director or assistant Program
Director to confirm the song selection. This is to ensure that none of the group will
get the same song. This is based on first come, first serve basis).
9) Participants are required to pay RM 200 as a registration fee for the competition.

STRICTLY NO REFUND.
10) All prizes are non transferable and non exchangeable to cash.
11) Board members will not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries before or

during the competition.

12) Participants must be responsible for their own safety and personal health during
the competition.
13) Dancers must obey the Syariah Compliances (Please refer to Program Director or

Assistant Program Director for more information).

14) Judges decisions are final and no correspondence shall be entertained.
