Job description
We are looking for a highly motivated Business Line Manager to further grow our footprint in this exciting
and challenging West African territory through excellence in customer service, setting up service contracts
(service agreements, supervision & technical support, training,..) and developing our spare parts
business.To support this development, it requires an experienced, energetic and results-orientated
individual for the role of Business Line Manager Mining and Rock Excavation Services (MRS).This is a
senior management position, responsible for the MRS Business Line. The successful candidate will be
handling sales & marketing activities, structuring the operations, profitability & overall management of the
MR Service Business Line.You will be managing and developing a multi-cultural team, with an employee
mix of expatriates and local/regional employees, and report to the General Manager. Frequent traveling is
required, both domestic and abroad.
Mission
Responsibilities include:Profit & loss as well as key ratios for the Business Line MRS, such as strong
control of the balance sheet and efficiencies management;Set & achieve ambitious profitable growth
targets with high focus on customer shares consolidated profitability; Foster the Atlas Copco attitude within
your team and workplace and continuously develop the personnel under your responsibility;Develop and
Implement the Territory Management plan including both Mining and Construction customers;Develop
organization towards proactive sales to reach their maximum potential;Ensure we always show One face
to the customer;Strategic direction of the MRS Division, including, Parts, Service and Technical &
Training;Lead, coach, motivate & support the competence development of direct and indirect reports to
achieve maximise outcomes and synergies for MRS;Ensure we always show One face to the
customer;Interact with other Managers to further develop and optimise customer sales strategies and to
engage and strengthen customer relationships;Ensure that "The Way We Do Things" & "Business Code of
Practice" is followed;Support the AC Groups vision "First in Mind, First in Choice" by contributing
continuously to the Customer-Value and a Customer-Care driven culture.
Experience / Educational requirements
The successful candidate will have the following:- Master or bachelor degree in relevant fields or similar
through experience;- Minimum of 5 years management experience in an Aftermarket management role;Solid understanding of key financial indicators;- Significant knowledge of Aftermarket, Parts and Marketing
functions;- Interpersonal, people management and negotiating skills of a high order;- Proactive and selfmotivated person, can-do attitude;- Able to create and sustain excellent customer relationships;- Prior
experience in a customer centre environment preferred;- Good knowledge in mining will be considered a
plus;- Computer literate (MS Office suite, etc.);- Good Command of French and English are both
compulsory.
