A proposal for
EXPERIMENT TO KNOW THE IMPACT OF ORGANISED
ROUTINE/Structure ON PRODUCTIVITY OF SALES STAFF
Executive summary:
This is a proposal to implement a better organized environment in Mega Store Jharcraft
ranchi. To know the impact of organised routine and discipline in store on performance of
sales staff I have design a organised operation format. which will act like a new SOP for
Store The Impact will be measure through sales analysis of previous and future sales report.

Experiment Objective:

To increase the productivity of sales staff


To maintain the discipline in store
To measure the performance
To compare the performance of unorganised and organised routine work
To make each staff accountable for their work.

This SOP will include following activities:Activities

Proposal Approach:
We have decided to implement a daily routine of step wise activities.
Steps: working shifts- Shift A-10 am-7 pm
Shift B-12 noon to 9 pm
Tea Break- shift A-15min break from 12 to 12:30 pm
and 5 pm -5:30pm(only 1 person at a time)
Shift B-15 min break from 4 pm -4:30 pm
And 6:30 pm -7 pm(only 1 person at a time)
Lunch Break-Shift A-30min from 1 pm 2pm (only 1 person at a time)
Shift B-30min from 2 pm -3 pm (only 1 person at a time)
Briefing
Daily briefing at 10 am for shift A and 12 noon for shift B which will include
Last day achievement, target for the day, motivation, Display, new ideas, discussion
on customer feedback/requirement etc
Monitoring DisciplineA supervisor of each department will be responsible for the monitoring of staffs
activities and avoid gathering.
Checklistat every break someone will check the performance of staff, activities and display
etc.
AccountabilityA monitor will be chosen from each department who will be accountable for all the
responsibility.
Motivational activityBest performer will get special appraisal on weekly basis.
SkillsSupervisor is directed to develop the sales skills specially juggling skills of sales staff.

Experiment allocation:
Location-Jharcraft Mega Store
Manpower- 1 Regional Manager,1 Store Manager,1 Ast Store Manager,6 Sr sales
executive/Supervisor,10 sales staff,2 Tailors,3 House Keeping.1 Visual Merchandiser
Total Manpower required=25
Time monitoring-Guard (Responsible for maintaining in and out time of staffs)
Security-Guard will be responsible for keeping details of each in stock and out stock
or movement of product

Significance of proposed Format:

With this experiment we can conclude the impact of discipline in retail store.
Discipline can further increases the productivity of sales staff.
We can assign accountability to the sales staff.
We can change the environment from unorganised to organised.
Performance of sales staff can be measured easily.
Can get rid of communication Gap.
Can avoid delay in accomplishment of work.
Can avoid gossiping and other non-productive activities.
