On November 12th, a 24 year old woman from Newark was sentenced to 22 years in
prison and must serve at least 85 percent of the term because of the fatal shooting of a
woman outside an Elizabeth night club in 2011. Judge Scott J. imposed the sentence on
Tiffany Moore, who said she was guilty to the murder of Felicia Hester. Tiffany Moore is
not eligible for early release. She must serve at least 85 percent of the sentence before she
is eligible for parole. Moore is also a confirmed member of a set of blood street gang.
She killed Felicia around 2am on September 22,2011 outside of Coco Bongo.
Officers found Felicia on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound; she was
immediately rushed to the University Hospital in Newark, where she died two days later.
Moore was arrested less than a week after the shooting and was sentenced yesterday.

On November 12th, there was a federal court ruling against President Obamas 2014 executive
actions on immigration and its a big setback to coming to a solution. The ruling will be held on
Monday but many immigrants live in fear. More than 200,000 undocumented people in New
Jersey will not be able to obtain crucial work permits and have protection from deportation.
These people will be unable to contribute fully o the states economy and will live in fear until a
decision is actually reached. Even though Obama was only taking small steps toward improving
the working conditions of the immigrants in the country They would have allowed many
parents of U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents, as well as more young people who came to
the U.S. before they were 16, to apply for work authorization and protection from deportation
NJ. com
This overall ruling, hurts the nation as a whole: New Jersey would collect more taxes under this
executive action on immigration. Currently, undocumented residents are paying $613 million a
year in state and local taxes a number that would increase by $29 million under the Obama
administration's executive actions. This is the seventh-largest bump of the 50 states, reinforcing
how much New Jersey has to gain from efforts to make the country's immigration system more
pragmatic.
All in all, the immigrants really contribute to this countries economy and it would be horrible to
see this ruling hurt the nation.

In Cleveland a huge medical discovery was made: Uterus Transplants.
Uterus Transplants may soon help some infertile women in the U.S become pregnant. Cleveland
Clinic expected to become the first in the U.S to transplant a uterus into a woman who does not
have one, so that she may become pregnant. The recipients of the uteruses will be women who
were born without a uterus or had to because of health issues have it removed. This transplant
however will be something that is temporary; the uterus would be removed after the patient has
had one or two babies. Uterine transplants are a completely new field that these surgeons are
curious to break into. If the trial procedure works there will be many women across the country
that will benefit, they are estimating around 50,000 women in the U.S to be eligible candidates.
However, like any other surgery there will be risks. These womens pregnancies will be
considered high-risk, with fetuses exposed to anti-rejection drugs and developing inside a womb
taken from a dead woman. Eight women from around the country have begun the screening
process at the Cleveland Clinic with the hope of being selected for the transplant surgery.
One, a 26-year-old with two adopted children, said she still wanted a chance to become
pregnant and give birth.I crave that experience, she said. I want the morning sickness,
the backaches, the feet swelling. I want to feel the baby move. That is something Ive
wanted for as long as I can remember. She traveled more than 1,000 miles to the clinic,
paying her own way. She asked that her name and hometown be withheld to protect her
familys privacy. (NyTimes.com)

The 2015 Red Starbucks cup has caused a huge controversy all over the country. In reality it is
just a cup, a cup where you put your coffee, you drink it and then you throw it out. But it has
become so much more than that to Starbucks customers in the U.S. The consumers are claiming
that the cups are too plain, they dont spread enough Holiday cheer and they took to social media
to complain. It has become a social media war, with the new hashtag being #itsjustacup: Im
guessing some people are tired of the back and forth complaining. Many are saying that
Starbucks just doesn't care about the Holidays enough to decorate their cups accordingly.
Starbucks said the unadorned cup allows customers to put their unique drawings and
message on it, but some say its one more way that companies are stripping the Christmas
message from the holiday season. USA Today
At the end of the day, we will never know Starbucks true intentions to making the cups plain but
they are still just cups I guess this country doesn't have that many important things to worry
about.
