The description of (script for) the lesson, wherein you describe teacher
activities and student activities
Review the vocab word biome with the class
Ask students to explain what the word means
Ask them to provide some examples of different biomes if they can think of any

Show PowerPoint on the different types of biomes and talk about them as you go through the slides
Show students the back side of the biomes page in their packets say that this tells all about the different
biomes, and can be something they will need for an activity
Put students in groups of three or four
Continue with the second part of the PowerPoint where students guess what biome each Indian village is
Students are given different colored papers of each biome name and for each slide, they discuss with their
group which name they think goes with the picture
They can use the back side of their biome page to help them
During the activity, ask students to explain how they think the Native American tribes survived in these
environments and how they used the land

After the PowerPoint is over, tell students to turn to their biome map. Display the map on the projector
also.

As a class, color in the different biomes using the key, and label the biomes with tribe names that lived
